I enjoyed them, though granted, I only played 4. A lot though. I still play it sporadically and have been thinking of playing it some more, if only to find more sword styles and fuck about some more.
Probably the prajna rising one, where akagi and his bro die, and you take over as leader of the prajna after your escape
And start a massive revolution, with you at the helm, to fight the west
Because they change dependant on which direction you're facing relative to the camera. It requires you to think dynamically and always be aware of not only your position but your perspective. A lot to take into account while dueling someone and need to block/retaliate/do combos/etc.

Not that much, just say the right thing at the beginning and kill the cannon dudes.

I liked the first game he best. the others are all probably better in one way or another. But the fact is none of it had the shock value that the first did for me. The combats really easy, I've played the whole series. I don' really have a favorite ending. As enjoyable as I find these I think the story is full of stuff you've seen a million times.

I've only played 4 and I was barely aware of any push/pull mechanics. I got a lot of endings on higher difficulties and most of the time I won fights just by being hyper-aggressive.

I liked Akagi's style with any of the longer swords, like the washing pole blade. I couldn't really hack it with any of the claw/spear weapons.

was it 1 or 2 where you could yojimbo the fuck out of everyone? that was the best one

3 was garbage but 4 is pretty gud even if the combat isnt deeep enough for my tastes
