absolutely, I guess the bourgoise "democracy" is one of the big problems with social democrats. In Sweden Olof Palme was close to implementing "employee funds" which would have mandated that something like 20% of profits would be used to transfer ownership to unions and workers. This would actually be a step towards genuine social democracy in the old sense of democratic transference to socialism. Ofc bourgie got spooked and started financing massive campaigns against this.

But if it had worked it would have been great, and Sweden would no doubt be the most prosperous and equal country in the world. The ideas would probably have been spread to other similar social democracies like Finland, Denmark etc etc

But yes so far social democracy has been bit of a failure, it hasn't worked simply, parliamentary democracy is easy for the capital to control
