You may notice language on here that is considered offensive in public circles ("faggot", "nigger", etc.) Please recognize that (most) of us are pro-gay, pro-black, pro-pretty much everything and we do not use these terms with any intended vitriol or aggression.
Most of us subscribe to a certain principle espoused by philosophers like Slavoj Zizek, that self-censorship of offensive terminology and preconceptions is in fact a dangerous approach to dealing with problems of persecution. By "holding back" your possibly offensive conceptions of black people, gay people, women, or whatever you're only reinforcing a subconscious understanding that these people are fundamentally different and alien to you and your kind. It is that developed false understanding that bred movements like the alt right, whose ranks are filled by people that were antiracist or liberal once upon a time. By allowing yourself, in the company of minorities or persecuted folk that you call friends, to slip in a racist joke or two, you're "clearing the air". There is no more powerful tool when forging a sense of egalitarianism than mutual laughter. Shutting yourself out only alienates you from potential friends among working people.
We welcome you to try for yourself. Please reply with whatever vitriolic offensive language you'd like to address to me. Kike, faggot, cunt, whatever you'd like. Or, if you're uncomfortable with that, just don't. No one will fault you for that.
Keep in mind, though, that I cannot possibly speak for everyone here. There are hundreds of people speaking from dozens of perspectives at any one time. However, most of the actual racists are either Holla Forums raiders (our evil mentally challenged cousins, ignore them) or nazbols (we only allow them in because they're amusing).
Pic related. These are not the only theories on how to achieve communism, but they are the major strains that have been actually tried in reality the most. There is an overwhelming diversity within and around these strains.
Anarchism is basically when people separate from current society to build their own without a "state" (self-justifying central authority). Example would be Catalonia (revolutionary Spain). en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Catalonia
Capitalists hate this because it threatens the narrative that capitalism is the best system and they will try to destroy it as quickly as possible.
Reformism is when people work within capitalism to transition to socialism without violent revolution. Example would be FDR (via New Deal), Richard Wolff (via Cooperatives), or Bernie Sanders.
Capitalists hate this and will quickly roll back reforms, keeping the parts that benefit them.
Marxist-Leninism is when people have a violent revolution to seize control of the state and use the state's power to seize the means of production. This is what people think of when they think of communism; examples include the USSR.
Capitalists hate this but have little power to stop it. However, even when a workers' state is achieved, it tends to degenerate into state-capitalism (the state owns the means of production) instead of the state withering away and letting the people take control (that's the idea of what's supposed to happen).
TL;DR The problem isn't that the transition doesn't work but that we haven't found a transition that both works and is resilient against capitalist interference.

Don't even know where to start tbh.
Sigh.
Does nobody here read, or what? I'm not talking following Saint Marx's every word, but it all contradicts so fucking hard no matter what you ascribe to.

This is for newfriends with no theory. It's putting it in terms they're familiar with.
Hunter Powell
certainly not pro-right

You can do this while not teaching them completely random and contradictory ideas. E.g. it's fine to refer to proletariat (old fart term) as worker, or bourgeoisie as capitalist/proprietor/owner or w/e, but speaking of wages under communism is completely idiotic and fits concisely with the memetic idea of "communists want everyone to be paid the same!". If anything, this will turn people off (and ironically, rightfully so).
Liam Thomas
Example would be Paris Commune. Catalonia went AnCom.
Also Syriza, Corbyn, die Linke, …
Just Marxism. ML is one of (even if the best) versions.
That's not what State Capitalism means. Also, state owning means of production is exactly what should've happened.
Read Marx, FFS. State "withers away" only once productive forces allow it. We haven't reached anything like this yet.
This is bullshit that can only cause misunderstanding, since it is wrong.
