Is it fair to compare both though? One's kind of a 3d metroidvania, the other's an actual spectacle fighter. It really depends more on whether or not you like exploration and puzzles or stylish fighting.
The enemies in DMC1 feel better to fight than DMC3
While the bosses are much better in DMC3
