Multiculturalism doesn't destroy nations, it never has. Most Nations are comprised of many different ethic groups confined into one geographical area by conquest, and most of these ethnic groups would have nothing to do with each other to a large extent if it was not for a nation state. Nation states are usually multicultural from their very conception, its not new.

Yup, but for differents reasons.

Nation is not a synonym for state and government.

I didn't say it was, however you cannot have a nation without a state.
