Technology and Technology-culture is becoming repulsive

nextchan if it wasn't dead as fuck, but people might liven it up.

You guys might want to read through
If you haven't already.

Only because you weren't successful at it, user

What you're describing is a people problem not a tech one, user. Well ok the programming stealing your soul definitely can be a problem depending on what you're doing but the rest sounds like you just realizing people are inherently trash bags. Most people i interact with are ignorant to the rudimentaries of most subjects and the problem is they're obnoxiously arrogant about everything on top of this. You see this with plenty of subjects. Politics/geopolitics is a good example. It requires a lot of studying and keeping up with reputable news sources to understand what's going on in the world yet somehow everyone is convinced they understand the entirety of what's going on in the world and that their ideology/position is infallibly correct.

I don't wanna sound like an edgy hipster but societies consumer whore mentality is demonstrably lowering peoples IQs and critical thinking skills. Couple this with their entitlement and you end up with people who are actually worthless aside from being financial/tax cows prepped for the milking. I understand I sound like an insufferable faggot but most of the people in my life are as described and only a few people actually have a reasonable head on their shoulders. I would change your title to "people and culture is actively repulsive and it's ruining technology."

Terry's right. If there was a significant learning curve to using a computer you would have a gigantic increase in the average users intelligence. Now that any braindead faggot can hop online in a matter of seconds with 0 understanding of the machine he's using everything is fucked. I guess we're too far gone at this point to ever fix it though
