I have a gut feeling that this one singular, particular event won't completely fill even one thread let alone spark a need for a Turk general (unless something truly politically changing comes to light in the aftermath).
When it comes to crossover threads, any quality poster will search the catalog before posting a thread so that there is zero overlap if another thread on the subject is already made.
You also seem to have missed my point of /vg/ as well. /vg/ was created because there were too many god damned useless fucking generals on Holla Forums to even browse the board, ultimately proving (once and for all in my opinion) that "general" threads are an anti-thesis to the spontaneity and quality-by-content philosophy of imageboards.
