What enabled Trump to win was appealing to the White working class throughout the country, and that outreach turning blue states red. White people are 70% of the electorate and if Donald Trump is able to change immigration laws while in office, that number's likely to go up. Kanye does not appeal to that demographic for the most part.

Second, I really don't think the democratic party can afford to run someone like Kanye in the general election in 2020. I don't think they'd use up their opportunity to keep Trump from serving two terms on Kanye.
