US Common Law hasn't given up habeus corpus yet, nor it's due process which states that a prosecutor must not only show all of the evidence suggesting the accused is culpable, but also there was intent. What's worrying is just how easy it is to convince yourself that these people are only a little crazy. That they are just a little silly and emotional at times, but that they are still normal people just like you or me.

They are not. Being normal and fitting in with the rest of society is an act. At their core, these people have become something else. They've done so much damage to themselves and their grasp on reality that normality and common sense are distant figments of their twisted imaginations.

These are people who, if they had the power and the opportunity, would slaughter all of their perceived political enemies without a second thought. They'd storm the White House and behead Trump and feel great about it.

These are crazy people. They are not rooted in reality. They are so deep into the dark recesses of their own imaginary worlds that they cannot fathom why no one is willing to come with them, so they assume and insist that it is everyone else who is wrong, because they don't remember what the real world is anymore.
