This then went over the top when they hated RO for the exact same flaws that were present in TFA. There's also the myriad of virtue signalling that they've been doing in their videos since the Max Landis visit, such as claiming that the only reason some terrible actress in a BotW movie didn't make it as a big action star was because she was a woman as opposed to her shit acting.

There's no one thing that caused it, but a combination of things out of which some were considered to be shittier than others. For example "Daisy Ridley was charismatic as hell in that movie." is considered worse than them defending the terrible acting of that one woman in that one action movie, with good reason too, since Daisy Ridley was absolutely terrible in TFA.

There's also the notable decrease in quality, for example Rich Evans at this point has become nothing more than a fat screaming man who yells out his catchphrase of the year, and the crew in general gives a much more vague reasoning as to why they like/dislike movies and shy away from calling shit movies shit outright. They instead tip toe around it with phrases like "I didn't like it, but other type of person might" etc and became unlikable in general. Especially when they give their retarded fanbase shit over being retarded while actively doing nothing to improve it and further debasing their produced content.

I'll break Red Letter Media down for those who don't know much about how money on GoyTube works. Pic one is their socialblade, which is a rough estimate of their income based on their viewership. 21k to 324k is all dependent upon who is watching, if Google can serve them an appropriate ad based on demographics, and if Google detects they are using an adblocker. The minimum is assuming a complete disaster in advertising, the maximum is assuming the planets align for an entire year for them.

The second picture is their Patreon page. Thats a monthly rate, totaling $227,784 per year. You usually can take away about 10% because Patreon has a fee and then another fee for credit card transactions so roughly $205,000 from Patrons. So by rough estimate RedLetterMedia is probably walking away with 300,000 dollars a year, after taxes. Inevitably, a large chunk of that money goes back into RedLetterMedia as a company. Specialized camera equipment is pretty expensive and they don't just shoot with your average 600 dollar Rebel T5i. One of the cameras you see in a video is a Canon EOS C200 which goes for around 7500 dollars, and for Space Cop they had better equipment than even that.

Then you have their actual salaries. Obviously Stoklasa is walking away with a bit more than average, but seeing as his future is staked on this company he can't draw too much without breaking the bank. I'm going to guess between 50 and 80 grand a year, which is generous considering most people who make that much money tend to take better care of themselves than he does. Jay and Rich are full time, alternating between actor and editor dependent on the video. AIDSmoby might be full time, with Previously Recorded, and neckbeard is definitely part time or even volunteer. Everyone else participates for exposure. Once you take into consideration project budgeting and just how many people are involved, it starts looking like they personally aren't making that much money.

Picture 3 is my favorite part. E;R gets a lot of exposure on this board, which he says is totally not him. Compare his socialblade stats to RLMs (views and subs are public information, only income is speculative). E;R is smaller, but growing substantially faster than RLM. When his TFA review came out, months ahead of Plinkett I might add, he had just broken around 10k. He's about to break 100k, with no sign of slowing down. Notice how he's not claimed by a network. You don't have to be with a network to make money on YouTube, but E;R has ads disabled on videos (that haven't been flagged for copyright). Meaning a solo act making no money is, by ratio, actively outperforming RLM.

I hope E;R is here, I subbed to him back when he had a few hundred subs and he's one of the better thing to come out of the chans apart from being a Holla Forums fag.

Let's take RLM, no matter good they are/were at one point they will reach the maximum amount of people who would watch some guys making fun of movies. There are 7 billion people on this planet, and not all of them like the type of content RLM or E;R put out, but even if they did and RLM actually had all 7 billion people subscribed to them and watching their videos, of course they would stagnate in new subscribers/month, because there aren't any other people left to subscribe. In this ridiculous scenario you wouldn't say that xXxFaggotxXx who has 5 new subscribers per month is doing better than RLM who have 0 new subscribers per month, because RLM have peaked in the maximum amount of subscribers they could ever get. Furthermore, because E;R is still relatively unknown, there are still a lot of people who would enjoy his content, but still haven't heard of him, at one point he will also reach a maximum amount of subscribers, maybe even higher than RLM, though at this point it's highly unlikely. Now don't get me wrong, I am not trying to bash E;R, I like his videos, but saying that small time youtuber has a higher rate of new subscribers per month, than a 10 year old Youtube account, is kind of disingenuous.

While Plinket has 3M and E;R has 1.7M others like Chris Stuckman, Angry Joe and Nostalgia Critic have 1.6M, 1.59M and 1.48M respectively. On the other hand these other youtubers have been for far longer than E;R, so you are right that it is quite of an accomplishment. If he can keep this up for The Last Jedi as well, I am sure the gap between him and Plinket's review will shrink, though it won't have as many views as the TFA review for both Plinket and E;R, this is just my opinion, but when you have a series of reviews it's always the first that has the most views(compare part 1/7 of the Phantom Menance reiview(7.8M views) to part 7/7 of PM review (2.7M) and to part 1/3 of the Clone Wars review (1.1M)).
