I mean Aleppo is the name of a city in syria that is one of the major theaters of war since it's such a contested zone. That's what the term actually means. I do think the way that queer asked the question was a little odd, in the same way Trump's 'nuclear triad' question was odd. Not a fan of Johnstein but yeah the question and the 'are you kidding me' was pure liberal incredulity and superiority gushing.
