But this is close to their endgame, now rewind history several centuries, or several millennia, and see how many conspiracy theories that might seem crazy to us at present time could have been actually true.

It's very simple. Just tell them that sure it could be true, but can we do anything about it? If we have no control over things like parallel timelines or aliens or whatever, then it doesn't really make a difference.
What we do have control over is things like what's left of any democratic process, our money, and other things that if we the people grouped together we could make a difference. Like boycotting Israel and such
