WASHINGTON, D.C. - Frank J. Fahrenkopf, Jr. and Michael D. McCurry, co-chairs of the non-partisan Commission on Presidential Debates (CPD), today announced the moderators for the 2016 general election presidential and vice presidential debates. The moderators, and the schedule and locations for the debates (as announced on September 23, 2015), are as follows:
First presidential debate: Lester Holt, Anchor, NBC Nightly News Monday, September 26, Hofstra University, Hempstead, NY
Vice presidential debate: Elaine Quijano, Anchor, CBSN and Correspondent, CBS News Tuesday, October 4, Longwood University, Farmville, VA
Second presidential debate (town meeting): Martha Raddatz, Chief Global Affairs Correspondent and Co-Anchor of "This Week," ABC Anderson Cooper, Anchor, CNN Sunday, October 9, Washington University in St. Louis, St. Louis, MO
Third presidential debate: Chris Wallace, Anchor, Fox News Sunday Wednesday, October 19, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Las Vegas, NV
The CPD also announced that Steve Scully, Senior Executive Producer, White House and Political Editor for C-SPAN Networks, will serve as backup moderator for all the debates.
Fahrenkopf and McCurry said that, "These journalists bring extensive experience to the job of moderating, and understand the importance of using expanded time periods effectively. The formats chosen for this year's debates are designed to build on the formats introduced in 2012, which focused big blocks of time on major domestic and foreign topics. We are grateful for their willingness to moderate, and confident that the public will learn more about the candidates and the issues as a result."

I'm not so sure about this. A huge problem was that many people were unsure these debates would even HAPPEN because Hillary would refuse to show up. Them announcing the debate moderators like this puts a lot of pressure on her because it shows everyone expects a debate. Pushing too hard on the moderators, especially when it's been shown that Trump does well even with a bias against him, may give her an excuse to call the debate off entirely.

It would look terrible if they tried to have a debate without proper vetting, and even worse if they cancel after being exposed as not properly vetting people and then never scheduling a new one. It would expose them hard. Exposing these people also puts pressure on them since some of them, like Holt, have their reputations on the line. If they exposed, they are gone.

Imagine if she had a meltdown DURING the debate. I personally think she might just be faking/exaggerating to throw a big "NOPE" in everyone's face in attempt to turn the debate into the red wedding. Still, I would love to see her tumble into the abyss of insanity on live television. Imagine her malfunction on stage. Trump quieting the moderator's questions of "oh my god, are you okay?" with a simple hand gesture, walking her down to a ready team of paramedics with a stretcher. In her last glimpse of sanity, she would hear Trump whisper "Moloch is dead. Praise Kek!" before being dragged into an ambulance to the nearest hospital. She would be greeted by DR. CARSON.
