Horror Thread

It Follows is the best i can come up with and that's actually sad.

already watched that. it has a good premise but i feel like the movie doesn't explore it enough. Maybe it would've been better if the monster wasn't just some shape shifter

Get Out

...

...

A couple off the top of my head that I like that are genuinely creepy and not necessarily gory, campy, or cheesy.

The Strangers
Descent (2005)
Session 9
The Tunnel (2011. If you like found footage and don't want to wade through the bullshit)
Lake Mungo
It Follows (as someone already mentioned)

hes a jew and jews are responsible for all nasty things in the world like me not having a girlfriend

I've been meaning to talk about this film for a while, here's "The Hitcher" (1987 film).

It's not gory, it's just tense.

I liked it, not really because it was horror, but because the cast actually took the threat seriously and attempted to fight back as best they could. They actually prepped for the monster and tried to kill it in cold blood, which was rather novel.

Also, it's a pretty redpilled movie all things considered, the moral of the story basically being not to sleep around and act like a whore.

...

I'd like to make her mongrel face white

Why is Stephen King so overrated? His stories are averaGE AND ONLY BOASTED BY HAVING GOOD DIRECTOR'S

I thought it was pretty tense. It beats stupid shit like ouija boards and jump scares.

Jacob's Ladder
The Blob ('88)
Society

Is that the typewriter movie? I wouldn't really call it horror, though the props are still unparalleled to this day. Closest anything visual has gotten to Lovecraft.

He knows how to draw inspiration from random things in the world around him, and make up nice little stories out of them. Once in a while a more skilled artist borrows his creativity to do something worthwhile, which he wouldn't have done out-wise as skill doesn't imply being creative (or seeking out of the beaten path sources of inspiration).

We need Stephan Kings, and every single time he is mentioned anywhere, hipsters like yourself will sneer, so he is properly put down on his place.

And Dreamcatcher is the greatest movie ever made.

He's the Cuck King though.

The Void looks good, its not out yet though.

Have you seen Audition?

own it. it was alright

The Frankenstein Hammer series is also good. any Hammer movies to recommend?

I too afraid to watch found footage movies how do I get over this hump.

Watch 70's porn a lot

Martyrs (2008 one) is the only horror film I ever thought genuinely worth watching outside of Cronenberg.

If you're craving 80's schlock, though

Well you have shit taste, the opening scenes are strong but after that it's just pointless drawn out scenes of a women getting punched and kicked that go on forever, with a bad payoff

2deep4u?

You are mistaking french prentiousness for depth, a common mistake
wow 2 deep 4 me

House on Haunted Hill
the old one.

Faggots, every single one of you

The Thing isn't scary.

I didn't recommend it because it's not especially Cronenbergian.

It's still considered horror, and it's damn good.

It deals with body horror though, but Carpenter is so distinct that you're right it's not Cronenbergian, because it's pure Carpenter.
