8/co/ Drawfag thread

Oh, I saw the tie, bullet-proof vest, and bandaid and assumed, but I missed the hairclips.

Yeah, it's a fail on my part. Also she should be a very old tomboy, so that makes it even harder.

I feel like I can't draw worth shit, I just want to make comics and shit man

I think my main problems right now deterring me can come down to 2 things

1.) Lack of motivation

2.) Lack of inspiration

How the fuck do you guys get motivated and/or inspired?

One thing I find helps motivate me is if I doodle a character, I'll give it a name, so the doodle becomes a bit more meaningful too me and I can try drawing it in different expressions and poses. I also feel like I send too much time and focus on actually drawing a fucking picture, so I end up doubting myself and go back to endlessly watching different tutorials that never helps

How did you niggers get started and what inspires and motivates you?

I just force myself to draw. If I'm having trouble with something, like say anatomy, I try to draw that thing 10-20 times on a couple of sheets of paper, as accurately as possible, and erasing if I have any mistakes.

I have the opposite problem. It's hard for me to even finish a sketch sometimes.

What really gets me in the mood for drawing is listening to podcats, or just someone talking while playing a game. Andrew Dobson's vlogs have surprisingly been good material to listen to while drawing, as well as for a laugh or two at him whining about people criticizing him.

On half/co/ (I went there for the kek and Holla Forumsco/'s Bizarre Adventure) there is an ongoing shitstorm on their drawthreads about the inclusion of OCs for requests, all originating from this OC character named Adelaide, which they eventually allowed (and deleting furry requests on caturday as usual).

What's full/co/'s stance on this? Let OCs into the drawthreads, or build a wall and let them stay in a dedicated OC thread? I would personally pick the former since allowing it would be the same as letting Syrian "refugees" in.
