You know, that makes complete sense. Not that I doubt you, but do you have any sources suggesting that the trooper fight was originally meant to include Phantasma (or whatever the fuck her retarded name was)?
As a side note, they have the same problem in Game of Thrones, where the same actress also plays the stronk warrior womyn stereotype. The costume department has tried its hardest to make her look imposing, but no amount of camera trickery can hide how slow, clumsy and weak she really is during the fight scenes.
Also, have a couple of pictures of the actress' awkward, skinny-fat and thoroughly unimpressive body.
