a lot of homeless people, suffer a unspeakable and atrocious abuses, out in the streets, every time I think about it, it really makes me feel depressed.
but on the other hand, I'm worried about the state of their mental health.

From personal experience, shotgun ammo for some reason is very unregulated at the store level. Walmarts in texas literally just have them on shelves, while all other ammo is behind a locked case. The boxes aren't even wrapped in plastic or anything, just a thin sheet of cardboard with loose shells in it. If someone wanted they could probably walk out with a few boxes of it and no one would notice or care. I guess the kind of people who'd shoot up a school or mall consider doing it with a standard shotgun to be in bad taste or something.
