The Kraut Question

Every other major liberal democracy has a left-populist political insurgency polling strongly. The best Germany has to offer, Die Linke, only has a bare handful of figures like Wagenknecht that are truly leftist, and polls terribly. Even among rightists, AfD polls weaker than its counterparts in every other country.

Is Germany completely doomed to neocon/neolib establishment cuckdom for all eternity?

i never got why schulz was hyped so much
at times when anti EU sentiments were rising SPD put a former president of the european parliament.
I guess he was just not Gabriel/Steinmeier and people just went with him until they realizd he is just the same.
SPD has die Linke to he left but CDU has nobody to the right, so a strong AfD might bring some fresh air into the german Bundestag.

Schulz is shit, him being shilled here is making the Germans look like Europe's Americans.

Not for eternity, but we would certainly be one of the last countries if there EU would turn left. I mean, most Germans do significantly worse than in the 90s, rents are exploding, wages are terrible, middle class shrinks - basically unless you have an academic STEM degree you are fucked. Yet people don't seem to care and buy into this meme that we are doing so well (read: corporations do well) so I don't really know what can be done especially after everybody, even moderate leftists, went full neolib after the G20 riots because hurrdurr left-wing terrorism. DieLinke and Sahra Wagenknecht lost tremendous support after G20, that's how classcucked we are. I already mentioned in the G20 that these protests will do nothing but the destroy the chance for a slight change in the overtone window to the left, and got called a liberal reformist because I'm not a LARPer who sets cars of the working class on fire.

I can't speak for Germans, but I think Schulz was intended to be a Macron-like figure (i.e. diverting populist energies into an ostensibly-establishment politician)

Parliamentary system notwithstanding, you are worse. Let that sink in.

Honestly i'm sure a large section of the DNC would rather a Republican get in than Sanders the same can be seen with the pact between so called moderate conservaties and Blairites in the UK nothing new really

At least with a parliament, they have to officially stand up and vote over the aisle against fellow leftists in order to hand power to rightists, removing any possible excuse.

The rise of the right is exposing what a farce the left political parties are.

In almost every country the left votes against their own campaign promises just to block proposals made by the AfD even if they align exactly with what the left promised or even proposed before. The AfD made it already a game of mockery to force the left to vote hand in hand with Christ Democrats and Conservatives and FDPiggies against their own progam.

They are exposing themself as mere tools by the big coorporate media backed parties with no real ideals and support the idea that they are just swamps to drown serious opposition from the left.

The AfD is pretty dead. They've elected a senile old grandpa and a lesbian neoliberal banker. They can be happy if they get above 5%.

I'm not American though, retard.

That was the opposite of my intention. I meant that opposition to the establishment is even weaker in Germany than the US.

I'd argue the resistance against the establishment is pretty solid in the US compared with other western countries.

Oh I see. But Shulz is going to be shit, he's going to be like New Labour. He won't fix anything. He sounds less radical than Bernie Sanders is what I was originally getting at.

Yep, we just have a shit system that forces us to get 50%+1 in order to register. But we're at ~45% opposition to the establishment.

Holland is far, far, far, far, far worse off

You can say they are dead as many times as you want. They will keep their seats until the next election and the The Left will continue to play the big established parties bimbo until at least the next round.

Also mind you the last time "Socialist" said kept saying that they tanked to barely 3 times as much as the AfD themself and only fed Merkel.

I only shilled Schulz because he would bash muh Viktor Orban and that gave me the right feelz

Why do you care for liberals anyway? It's not like the AfD is going to resurrect Hitler. Still, I don't believe anybody really is going to care for the AfD anymore. You can expect Merkel to double down on the migrant question shortly before the election (like she does with every other issue) and the Michel will fall for it. Remember that Germans are centrists by nature, and many people really hate the lolbertarian faction within the AfD, they just thought about it as the lesser evil. Stop euphemizing a party led by a lesbian neoliberal banker and grumpy ex-CSU mummy.

And nice job acting as if I would support a liberal SocDem party like the Linke. There is just Wagenknecht who isn't utter trash, but the rest is.

Germans are the biggest authoritarian class-cucked faggots of all the races of mankind. Even Israeli Jews are less class-cucked than Germans. I think Boomer Americans and post-modern Germans are the worst of all time

You can thank Bismarck for that

Do you even history?

Maybe I should replace centrists with authority driven. The ruling authorities are all they care about. Pure legalism. Even when Hitler came into office, he was acting all nice and bourgeois.

Germany is the US of Europe. Their working class is reactionary as fuck because they currently benefit from German imperialism (i.e. the EU.)

Not gonna defend Germanies abuse of the EU market, but the working class in Germany barely gets the spoils. Our wages and welfare systems are shit.

fuck off oppressor at least you have wages and welfare

I'm so sorry but that's not a result of my doing or the doing of the organization I'm in :🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Hopefully over the next five years with Macron going mad with power and a second Melenchon run and a Corbyn led UK we can sort Europe out.

This.

Isn't one of Germany's distinctions for the working class its powerful labor unions, which many of the welfare services most socdem countries administer through the government, Germany instead offers through the unions many people are part of?

What happened to the role unions play in German politics?
