Venezuela 2017 unofficial referendum results - 7,186,170 votes counted (95%)

In this referendum, the only requirements are being older than 18 and having a Venezuelan ID or passport. You don't have to be registered to vote. You have to vote "yes" or "no" for the 3 questions.

Since this is an unofficial referendum organized by the opposition, not that many people will vote "no", so the percentage doesn't really matter.

Questions:

Yes: 6,387,854 - 98.4%
No: 8,440 - 0.13%
Yes: 6,393,048 98.5%
No: 7,791 - 0.12%
Yes: 6,384,607 - 98.3%
No: 9,089 - 0.34%

This is bs really, there was massive fraud, apparently one person could vote several times and they destroyed the records afterwards to hide the inconsistencies.
I'm sick of Venezuela, the opposition is fucking insufferable and the other side is full of cucks kneeling and begging for peace…

🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧unofficial referendum🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧

Voting centers verified the votes live by running the ID number against a google docs spreadsheet, and then the votes were checked again. The records will be destroyed when the 100% is counted.

Just another failed socialist experiment.
Maybe next time when Holla Forums gets its change to try Real Socialism(tm)

...

Omg 7 million votes, that seems like a lot. 99% opposition, that seems really bad.
Uh…
Oh.
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA HOLY FUCK GET THAT WEAK SHIT OUTTA HERE.

You know that most countries have a shitton of people under 18, right? Around 20-22 million people in Venezuela are over 18.

What CIA?
This is a """""consult""""" organized by the opposition the same day an official rehearsal for the real referendum is held.

"Voting Centers".
This twitter thead is in spanish but covers both a guy voting to times and the burning of the records.

that's standard in the west

That tweet chain is about a kilometer long, give me a few highlights.

Irrelevant, / because of article 70 and 71.
They don't have kilodollar machines to process the votes, but they do what I said in . The votes inside the country are sent to university rectors who audit them, don't know what they do with votes outside the country.
They will be burned when the 100% is audited, just like they have done before in opposition primaries.
This one is true.

1. Usual Venezuela turnout for presidential elections is somewhere between 75 and 80%.
2. This will obviously get fewer votes inside the country, because it's unofficial and organized by the opposition (what if someone working for the government is seen there by his boss or someone sent by him?).
3. This got more votes outside the country, because there were more voting centers and you don't have to be registered to vote. A Venezuelan passport or ID is enough to vote.

So a third, then?

He's complaining that someone born in Spain with a Venezuelan mother says that she's going to vote. Does he really not know what "multiple citizenship" is?

Yeah, it's a pretty normal result. I think that it's really high for an unofficial vote.

yeah, there are approximately 21 million 18+ people in Venezuela. even if 30% of votes are fraudulent, that's enough people to start a civil war
Just look at how spooky this question is
this is blatantly asking for a coup and setting the stage internationally for its recognition.

Also, it was my understanding that Maduro wanted to call a constituent assemly by sidestepping the National assembly and calling a referendum. Would this constituent assembly therefore by with "prior approval of the Venezuelan people?"

They've been trying coups since Chavez won his first elections. Seriously, either the opposition is too incompetent or the people really like Chavez/Maduro.

About the number of voters in Spain being higher than the recorded number of Venezuelans in Spain: It shouldn't take much time to think of an explanation. The 2016 (01/01/2017) census registered 14238 more Venezuelans compared to the previous year (number of Venezuelans increased by 26% in a single year) and it's not like have to prove that you aren't an illegal immigrant in Spain to vote.

there is an easier explanation: more than 200000 people in spain were born in venezuela

Referendums that get 98.5% Yes votes are obviously rigged as hell. I'm not pro-Venezuela but this reminds me of the Crimea election where 96.77% of the population """voted""" to join the Russian federation

Sounds legit.

Nigga it's an unofficial opposition referendum. What made you think that it would get more than 1% "no" votes?

That's what they usually do for primaries.

too bad they didnt invest in farms

This one doesn't need to be rigged. First, it's mostly supporters of the opposition that turned up at all, second, Maduro really fucked up so the massive opposition to his rule is genuine.

Venezuelan opposition leaders are calling for a 24-hour national strike starting Thursday to protest government plans to rewrite the constitution and consolidate political power.

The opposition-controlled National Assembly also says it will name new members of the country's supreme court, a move certain to be blocked by President Nicolas Maduro's administration. The court is controlled by loyalists of Maduro's ruling socialist party.

The opposition is calling on the government to call off the July 30 election of members of a constitutional assembly that would remake the country's political system.

Left my shitposting flag on.

This is why the first task of any left wing government should be to acquire nuclear weapons. America doesn't fuck with nuclear powers like this.

Trump threatens economic action if Venezuela creates Constituent Assembly
U.S. President Donald Trump threatened on Monday to take "strong and swift economic actions" if Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro goes ahead with plans to create a controversial super-legislature known as a Constituent Assembly in a July 30 vote.
"Yesterday, the Venezuelan people again made clear that they stand for democracy, freedom and rule of law. Yet their strong and courageous actions continue to be ignored by a bad leader who dreams of becoming a dictator," Trump said in a statement.

The Crimean vote was boycotted by opposition and I don't think it mattered because a majority were pro-Russian idiots anyway. Not like they'd be better off in the garbage fire that is Ukraine.
