Sup guys,
So today I'm going to the local gym for the first time ever to begin working out/lifting for the revolution, gonna do starting strength (SS) then powerlift.
Secondly gonna take some time to expand on my small and limited range of theory to draw only - Having only read the Manifesto, a bit of luxumbourg and the meme book (max stirner)
Thirdly buying some second hand Physics textbooks to help give me the knowledge to build the commune one day. I enjoy STEM related subjects just as much as critical theory :)
What are you doing today/plan to do soon to either improve your life or the lives of others or even just the revolution?
Sup guys
Stop. Do bodyweightfitness instead
I am going to be doing that early on as part of the Starting Strength Gym routine.
Body-weight fitness is only effective at creating GAINS until a certain, particularly limited point.
Sure you'll be stronger then the average normie but you wont be as strong as a deadlifter/weight-squatter/bencher etc.
I browse /fit/ quite alot, I'm not some dudebro but I think the actual gym is a good investment, just avoid the normie treadmill machines and shit
EPIC meme. SS + curls is perfectly fine.
Save yourself and read something serious like "Socialism: Utopian and Scientific" or "Critique of the Gotha Programme" before you become a memelord that defects to liberalism in a year.
- Lift (OHP/DL/Curls)
- Read a couple of basig egonomigs texts over again in prep for Capital Vol 1
Why are you wanting to join a revolution lol things are fine the way they are.
Currently cutting and going to start training in muay thai in the fall. Reading more books, going to read Mutual Aid next and then probably Bookchin. Working on scripts so I can hopefully make a cool film.
I'm lifting and currently read a biography of Charles V. (HRE). I do it mostly for my own pleasure, I don't believe revolution will be possible as long as the First World has access to imperialist exploitation and value extraction.
Started lifting again after a two month break. Actually felt like shit after but I'm not going to stop now. Gonna get back to Krav Maga as well beginning next week, the revolution requires a /leftyfit/ body
Do SL 5x5 or SS
Why does it look like he is jacking off an invisible dick in both pics?
What do you think of this one?
Why? You are poisoning your own mind. Just read Capital, it's not that hard.
I felt that SS was too hard on my legs. Like I couldn't recover in time for my next workouts/weight increases. What did I do wrong
I want to be better at expressing myself, especially in writing, but I have no idea how to do it.
Man, feels /ascetic/ as fuck.
You'll always be super sore once you first begin, that's normal. I remember when I first started doing deadlifts I was so sore I had trouble lifting myself out of my chair and standing up. If you've slept enough you'll have recovered enough for your next workout. Don't decide you'll not be able to lift the weight before I actually try lifting the weight. If you can't do all of the sets with the proper form then try again next time, if you still can't decrease the weight by about 10-15% and work your way back up. If you're not making progress at all while following the program, get more sleep and make sure you're eating enough, especially protein.
You mean your feelings or ideas? Is it a lack of vocabulary or you just don't know how to externalize your thoughts into words?
Who is this whore I want to adore?
Ideas. I think I have the vocabulary, I just can put together longer texts.
It's quality, not quantity that matters. Whenever I'm reading something, I want the author to clearly explain what they're getting at, not try to use as many words as possible. Simply explain your idea, using your own experience of you developing it or talking about it with other people, and find how you can clearly express it or justify it.
Skinny 5.8 guy here, can confirm reversed my Manlet tendencies slightly with stronglifts. I'm only a month or 2 in but I've up my squat by like 30kg or something
bump
Im trying to read a chapter a day. Ive got the fitness down. Not making any huge gainz though, probably because im stretching it beyond 3X5s, knee braces coming soon so i can do squats, my knees get creaky and sore.
...
From what? That sounds like it would vary a lot based on the book.
Post capitalism a guide to our future. Its the first book ive read in years. Any recommendations on what i should read next?
