DSA is discussing possibly impleneting monthly dues. I am personally skeptical of this approach because I don't want to funding the campaign of Democratic Party members any more than I already am.
DSA is also wasting a lot of resources on stupid things, such as Queer propanda and feminist activities. What's next? Esperanto language lessons?
I believe it would be better if the national organization had no dues at all, and all member dues went directly to local chapter. With the chapters deciding how much money to contribute to "national". Otherwise DSA will end up being a Democratic Centralist collectivist, like SAlt or the avakians.
Hey, Esperanto lessons are better than self-flagellation sessions for muh white males.
Easton Clark
They don't want "brocialists" seizing control of local branches I bet.
Parker Hall
so much for the economically literate right
Kevin Rogers
Pretty much DSA's biggest problem. They force the concept of liberal safe spaces on everyone and heavily push progressive stack.
Levi Davis
They already have yearly dues. I don't see the point switching to a monthly system unless they think this will help them raise more money.
Lincoln Murphy
What kind of grassroots party doesn't have membership dues? That's how they're supposed to get their funding Fuck off
Hudson Ortiz
maybe because they aren't actually socialists

No, Solresol language lessons.
Noah Morris
Esperanto's goal is literately to destroy Western culture. It's ID-politics to the max. They are not happy with the role of English in modern society, they think an easier language would somehow end western hegemony. They are extremists.
Nolan Allen
You're literally calling Esperanto Cultural Marxism. Esperanto's role is to create an international auxiliary language so that the world can communicate with each other. English is an objectively bad language for that purpose.
Jacob Johnson
Chinese is most logical solution since so many people already speak it. Fuck western languages.
Aiden Barnes
Esperanto will never take off. Regardless of what you think of it, English is already fulfilling the role of an international auxiliary language as it is the most widely learned second language in the world.
Austin Diaz
English is the most logical solution because I already speak it. Chessmate, commies.
Bentley Myers
The Green Party is in the process of implementing monthly dues too and there's also a lot of backlash against it
t. dues paying Green Party member
Nathaniel Jackson
Please learn Chinese and then say it's the logical choice.
English will last only as long as the American Empire does. Whoever becomes the next superpower will try to impose their native language and so on and so forth. When America does fall Esperanto might have a chance to convince people of the absurdity.
Brayden Rivera
The eternal anglo, everyone.
Isaiah Richardson
Not a chance. English is my second language and I will learn Chinese or Arabic or any other absurd language as long as it enables me to speak to people all over the globe before I learn Esperanto. Ironically, Esperanto is useless to me because the few people who do speak it, speak English also.
Camden Carter
Nobody is going to learn the fucking hanzi, even English is better and we're already scrapping the bottom of the barrel with it.
Asher Brooks
people make up bulshit about english being better because it is natraul langauge. but the real reason is cause they already speak english it is easy for them (likely anglosphere residents),
Jack Roberts
Germanic languages aren't as syntactically brittle as romantic languages. Romancefags need to get with the times.
John Rodriguez

Cameron Fisher
Can this still be true in the internet age?
Levi Rivera
Thank god it's about fucking time. How are you already a dues-paying member though?
James Scott
Why are anarkiddies obsessed with Esperanto? The slaughter of Esperantists during the Spanish Civil War is probably the only decent thing to come out of that conflict. Imagine if we all spoke a made up zionist language. Disgusting.
Carson Nguyen
Then quit being a member of that piggy party.

>In 1882 a wave of pogroms within the Russian Empire, including Congress Poland, motivated Zamenhof to take part in the early Zionist movement, the Hibbat Zion.[11] He left the movement in 1887, and in 1901 published a statement in Russian with the title Hillelism, in which he argued that the Zionist project could not solve the problems of the Jewish people.

Thomas Smith
serves him right, he trusted a socdem
Isaiah Rogers
Went to my local DSA chapter a few days ago and was very impressed, these people are incredibly strong and ready to fight

isn't it idpol to the max to see western culture as something worth intrinsically preserving?
honestly there must have been a big Holla Forums migration or something cuz I'm not liking the trajectory this place has been taking
