In my childhood I lived with my grandparents with one of those. The thing about commieblocks is that there is always a playground nearby.

I was doing SS and C25k regularly, but I got a stress fracture in my foot and that's put me out of commission for a month. I could probably get back to lifting so I should probably begin again soon.


Calisthenics are a really poor form of exercise. They won't make you as strong as lifting and they're not as good for cardio as running.

Tried bulking at 16 and lifting weights, but my gym equipment was awful and I didn't enjoy eating loads.
Now I just do high intensity cardio and body weight exercises. I prefer a slimmer aesthetic, anyway.

I'm 27 years old. I believe in taking care of myself, and a balanced diet and a rigorous exercise routine. In the morning, if my face is a little puffy, I'll put on an ice pack while doing my stomach crunches. I can do a thousand now. After I remove the ice pack, I use a deep pore cleanser lotion. In the shower, I use a water activated gel cleanser. Then a honey almond body scrub. And on the face, an exfoliating gel scrub. Then apply an herb mint facial mask, which I leave on for 10 minutes while I prepare the rest of my routine. I always use an aftershave lotion with little or no alcohol, because alcohol dries your face out and makes you look older. Then moisturizer, then an anti-aging eye balm followed by a final moisturizing protective lotion.

Even they can meet minimum requirements because you might get attacked anyway and fitness will help you survive if you get shot. Also, the idea that you need a cook to eat is retarded. I've been thinking about this exact topic lately. I want to take some form of martial arts, and I even mused about joining the military just to abuse their skills. I may do the former sometime soon and pick up an exercise routine. I also want to learn to use a proper sniper rifle, but my shitty girl body might not take so kindly to the kick from it. I at least want to be able to quickly execute somebody in hand to hand.

Just learn regular marksmanship. You'll likely never get your hands on an actual sniper rifle or being shooting at shit a km away; a hunting rifle with a scope will be the closest you'll get and using it properly will just involve being a good shot.

Starting strength is probably your best bet. The program is simple but it'll take a while to properly learn the form, but so will it with all lifting.

What's wrong with learning to kill? Fighting and subduing is one thing, but being able to end someone's life if he is a threat is a good skill to have. I don't know where my life may take me, but I know that at least a few of the possible routes could involve coming into contact with hostile people who will want to kill me.

Top kek. Army infantry's training is roughly comparable to Marine Corps non-infantry, and the tactical doctrine is completely different. There's a reason why Jihad Joe over in the middle East fucks with USMC supply convoys less than Army supply convoys. It's because a lot of them know that the Marines will fuck them up.

A friend of mine is trying to lose weight and has made some good progress. He started off being close to a 100 pounds overweight so I told him to walk consistently for about a month and he lost ten pounds. After that I had him lift two days a week, moderate to intense cardio three times a week, and a long walk once a week with better diet. He's currently got about 50 pounds to go and losing about 2 to 3 pounds a week. I don't have experience in losing more than 25 pounds of fat myself so I'm unsure how to help him out, should he keep up what he's doing or adjust it?

Two to three pounds is optimal. Your friend is doing well. Just make sure he pushes himself in order not to lose too much muscle in the process, but he might already be doing it perfect for all I know. It's a balancing act. This might slow him down for a bit, but he'll be losing more fat than anything. Tell your friend to keep up the good work and to stay strong.

In terms of workout, should he do more lifting? I personally lost 25 pounds of mostly fat before getting into bulking/cutting routines and I was doing 3 days of lifting a week. He is doing good but he's been doing a similar schedule for a while and I'm wondering if it's time for him to change things up.

Lifting three days a week is good, but I also work out six days, so I can do cardio. You're going to lose weight just on diet. Focus on your diet first, then go lift to maintain as much muscle as you can. Cardio is going to keep your heart healthy so you can have more stamina, but it isn't going to make you lose weight. You can't outrun a spoon, as they say.

If he's starting to plateau, definitely change things up. You have to confuse your muscles, but make sure you focus on form. You don't want him to get injured and gain all the weight back from lack of motivation. Breaking limits is what makes people keep going. Once they hit that first plateau is when most people give up, but make sure he keeps going. It's a struggle, but he'll be thankful for it eventually. Also, try to do fun shit when you can. Go on a nature walk, camping, or whatever else that gets him moving and carrying shit around.

Yeah, when he stops either losing weight or lifting more, change it up a bit. Squats are important. Those large muscles will promote weight loss, but the problem for a lot of people is ankle mobility, which is what fucks up their form. Make sure to do stretches and ease him into them. As long as he keeps on top of his diet, he's going to do well.

Before I started lifting, I just used to do a lot of push-ups, and for biceps, I used to do diamond push-ups. Like, a lot of them. At some point I could do 90 or so of them in one sitting. Now I'm too heavy for that, but my triceps got big that way.

Meant triceps. Do pull ups if you can. Great exercise.
