truly a leader worthy of note

MACRON IS NAZBOL
NAZBOL MOVES LIKE A STARTUP

You're missing the subtext.

Translation of OP:

The most disgusting thing here is the guilt by association, the NYT equivocates working class mobilisation as being on par with Trump (a dumb bigoted wealthy ogre according the MSM, rather than a dumb capitalist) and Putin (do I need to say it?).

i understand that user, i was just poking fun at the added layer of stupidity.

I fucking hate NYT so much. At least the Wall Street Journal is completely honest about their loyalties, the NYT, on the other hand, tries to pretend to be a "progressive-leaning" newspaper when they're perhaps the biggest porkies in the entire fucking media empire.

Well at least the French left will stop being so smug about their country's leftist credentials once Macron has destroyed the gains made by the working class there.

at least hes bedder than le benis :DDD

...

...

Why the fuck does everyone hate labor unions so much? I don't get how people like say, my family, who are all poor working class, can be like, "Yeah fuck unions, who needs 'em?" when they literally exist to advocate their interests.

Yes, everyone except my ma is a burger.

Massive amounts of porky propaganda. Also very few workers have actually had any experience with unions at all in the workplace due to various anti-union laws that were put on the books during the mid-20th century.

critical bootlicking. i actually heard people say unions made things worse for them. in their mind if you don't kiss ass 24/7 you're ruining it for everyone.

Unions can't really function when you have an army of cheap laborers overseas who will do any job for next to nothing.

How exactly? Any frogs here actually know that bit of the story in detail?

And I don't understand why the oversea workers don't unionize either.

Actually never mind. I'm sure Coca-Cola death squads have something to do with it

Because in non-western countries unionizing isn't just an issue of will. Attempting to form a union can get you killed or jailed for life on trumped up charges.

That depends on the industry. Construction for instance requires local labor, so even if some chink is willing to build a bridge for scraps that makes no difference because he can only build it there but not here.

Maybe they're stupid or maybe they'd lose their job, be replaced by someone less willing to complain, and no other company who heard of it would hire the troublemaker.

not a frog but he is vowing to force through the awful labor reforms by this september. the same reforms that killed hollande's presidency and the socialist party and caused years of protests/riots.
mostly the reforms are to make it easier to lay people off so it's easier to hire people, some real grade A porkie logic

“In French politics, this absence is the presence of a King, a King whom, fundamentally, I don’t think the French people wanted dead,” said Macron. “The Revolution dug a deep emotional abyss, one that was imaginary and shared: the King is no more!” According to Macron, since the Revolution France has tried to fill this void, most notably with Napoleon and then Charles de Gaulle, which was only partially successful. “The rest of the time,” said Macron, “French democracy does not manage to fill this void.”

Many unions sold out and will actually take the side of the state/industry.

France has already been in a state of emergency for over a year and now Macron wants to make it permanent

Funny how those rights went away as soon as the USSR was not a thing.

Ah yes the three biggest threats of the world:
Trump, Putin and French labour unions.

The axis of evil

He already has emergency powers.

So the emergency powers they gave themselves after the terrorist strike are now used to weaken labour unions. Hollande trying to justify that made him the least popular president of all time.
Now Macron (no surprise here, he was the minister of finance at that time) is doing the same. How long until the smoke screen is cleared and the French realise they voted for the continuation of Hollande? When will his popularity start to drop?

We did it, Holla Forums

when he becomes ugly, so never
