/leftyk/ thread! Saving up for a Norinco M305 edition.

Post your guns, talk about guns, and develop our grand battle plan for the colonization of halfchan /k/ since it is significantly less spooked than Holla Forums.

Plzno. People who go around trying to politically subvert boards and distract from their intended discussion are absolute faggots.

On that same topic, Holla Forums's /k/ infographics are sorrily lacking. Bolt actions for home defense and information gleamed from Wikipedia galore.

Old photo of what I got, recently traded the mini-14 for a bog standard AR-15 style rifle. Im lookin to buy a Socom-16 off of a friend and put a nice wood stock on it.

What's the policy on discussing non-firearm weapons in these threads?

Some crazy British guy fought in WW2 with a longbow so I'd say anything is fair game.

I'm not saying we storm in like retards, but political discussion does flare up occasionally on /k/ and mods tend to tolerate it for a while. I think it would be good for us to monitor the place and jump in when politics comes up organically. Tbh it's pretty easy to appeal to lolbert sensibilities with libertarian socialism if you word it right.

only if its a crossbow

Bump.

whats a good AR platform for around $400

$400 is so low that you prolly arnt gona find a good gun for that price unless its a used one, but it is a good starting place to upgrade bit and bobs from.

is it just a meme that gun shows sell untraceable guns in america?

what's like the mid end model then. i haven't bought a gun since the early 00s so i have no clue

I can only guess but I would prolly say anything in the $700 to $900 realm is mid level

alright that's fair. any recommendations?

Sorry I don't. I enjoy guns and shooting but Im not all that knowledgeable in what is and is not a good gun. Best I can do is my family have used many different Rugers and they all hold up good but I think they are pretty expensive.

No idea of the quality but the cheapest I could find on the first website I clicked on:
Lower $160 ($130 "blemished" maybe just cosmetic)
Upper $150
BCG $80
charging handle $25
so $400+post or you can buy a ready made similar one for $450

The piece of metal on the lower is the part that is legally a gun so I think you have to get it delivered to a licensed dealer.(dunno, not a burger)
You can buy a lower at a shop(again, dunno how) or gun show(think you just show your ID and walk in, dunno) but you might be better off buying a used AR there.
The other option is to buy an 80% made lower($60, 10 packs for $500, what a country) and machine it. Google how cause I really don't know much, also some people rent out ar-15 lower jigs and tools(illegal to pay a non licensed person to make it I think). Then you have a "ghost gun" the media was going apeshit about. Buy a Lower parts kit($80) and away you go.

Someone correct me on this cause I'm not a Yank

You could have bought an AR instead of meme guns.

Canuck I'm assuming?

An SKS and a Maverick 88 isn't exactly expensive guns, and if he's a Canuck he probably don't have the required license to purchase an AR anyway.

Btw guys, hows 4 and 8/k/ lately? Haven't been there in years, last i knew 4/k/ was pretty awful 3 years ago.

Because I live in Canada. AR's require a restricted liscence which also lets the RCMP search my house without a warrant. Not to mention Tula SKS's are $250 a pop here and I'm poor as fuck. I am saving up for a Norinco M14 though. Also idk what you're on about with a Maverick 88 being a "meme gun". It's literally just a cheaper Mossy 500.

In US dollars that's like 180. SKS rifles are usually above 400-500 USD.

4/k/ is nowhere near it was in its prime. The amount of gunfags who genuinely love firearms and could name you almost any fact you wanted has shrunk significantly. 8/k/ is full of ameritard /k/inder pretending to have guns and stormfags. I've seen some images from there, and they reek of "I only know about guns from Wikipedia".

That's because we are allowed to import them from China so the prices are much lower. The weird thing is that I've literally never seen a Chinese SKS in a store, they're almost always Russian.

PSA makes a usable rifle for $500.

my country have gay restriction to guns
i can't even get a .22

I have an Enfield and a passed down pistol from my grandfather. I eventually would like to get a shotgun, an AK (for semi-automatic instead of bolt action), and a Nugget just to have a nugget.

That'll do me. I'm not a gun consumerist though I do enjoy shooting (only get to shoot my air rifle being in the city for now though), and it's better to put a thousand rounds through one weapon and get good with it than many different weapons and be mediocre.

Comrade Ian bump.

My "Weapons"

Can you actually play the accordion?

Yes, but im mediocre.

Its a meme, guns sold at gun shows are usually still registered and are just as traceable as any other purchased guns as all the vendors are federally licensed. When any gun is purchased, an "instant" (a few days) background check is issued by the FBI before any authorization form for the sale is issued.

I'm honestly jealous of canucks, you can get a decently priced SKS-45 while here your lucky if you find one for $500, which then you might as well invest in an AR.

Dude, that image is almost ten years old. Let it go.

I'm always bewildered how states and countries justify restricting "assault weapons". Most crime isn't even committed with assault rifles and the amount of actual homicides committed with firearms (excluding suicide committed with firearms and homicide committed in self-defense) is really small compared to the total violent crime rate.

I'll get one, y-you'll see.

I have a colt 1903 but it's messed up, isn't safe to shoot, dreams of SKS.

What shotgun is that?

also here's some assorted infographs

anyone have screencaps from the last thread about the guy talking about jars of dried lentils and workouts and stuff?

I need to grow my infographic collection, anybody have some

That flamethrower is LARP to the extreme. Gelified petroleum (literally not napalm btw, though the Vietnam war, where it was used in alongside actual napalm, made it synonymous with napalm, though this is just autistic semantics) is difficult to ignite, difficult to spray and prone to blocking shit up. There's a reason why it was never used beyond bombs or shells. Napalm flamethrowers used a different chemical mix entirely.

Long story short, there is a reason why napalm in military applications is always more than just petrol with some Styrofoam in it.

That gas mask guide is terrible. Won't stop tear gas, won't stop CS gas. Will make you look like a massive tool. If you soaked the sponges with stale piss you might be able to survive a chlorine gas attack, crippled with minor lung damage and serious burns, but that's about it. Buy a gas mask instead. That fighting guide is also terrible, the brunt of it is "just sucker punch lmao XD", and some of the information is outright incorrect and will get you have the shit beaten out of you. You will never push someone's cartilage into their brain – that is an action movie myth.

This whole thread is LARP

It's better than nothing, especially against tear gas
