The POUM did absolutely nothing wrong. Prove me wrong.

The Spanish Civil War was 80 years ago and it was not a sports match.

PCE they were pushing for winning the war before any "revolution", and their position was supported by part of the CNT and Durruti (if he has not been killed there could probably haven't been such sectarian infighting)
Also they were the ones that weighted the biggest effort in the war, and their lider Jose Diaz although he critizised the anarchists for being negative for the war effort, when the Soviets suggested eliminating them he fought hardly against it.

True

Falange Española Tradicionalista y de las Juntas de Ofensiva Nacional Sindicalista

To bad that they got backstabed by Franco

It was more a question of which group is closest to your ideology.

They were fascists with socialdemocrat characteristics, they were not socialist in any way and were supported by the church and rich classes.
So fuck that capitalist bootlickers trying to make the workers fight for porky against their interests.

The real communists.

Nice buzzwords

Stupid, not leftism, cancer, something you should get banned for shilling.

Stay spooked about "muh real leftism"

kek, stop being retarded

...

left/right split is outdated concept with no real base in reality
In fact left/right was outdated and obsolete right after 1ww

Anarchists have as much to learn from their historical mistakes as Marxists do.

Your threads get deleted for a reason faggot.

my boy

Post Spanish boypussy :3

are either of you going to make an argument or are you both just going to throw shit at one another until this thread dies ?

stop

I still can't think of anything he did wrong.

Didn't execute enough counter-revolutionaries tbh.

kek

that one swiss communist who shot a trot because he was splitting

bourgeois reactionaries with the aesthetic of radical leftism

PCE or die bitches

I still can't decide whether it was the PCE or the CNT-FAI that did nothing wrong.

Definitely not the POUM though.

International Brigades, of course

POUM weren't even explicitly trots. They were a union between a trot party, a bukharinist party and a bunch of other marxists outside of the PCE/PCC and PSOE. Trotsky even denounced them at one point.
Still POUM were good boys who had the most revolutionary line

fuckin larper
PCE 4eva

PCE had the correct approach because Stalin had a decent idea of what he was doing, still their approach wasn't at all revolutionary.
PCE were there solely to make sure the liberal republic prevailed and Stalin could pursue attempts at seducing the UK and France.
CNT-FAI were without a doubt the worst group on the republican side aside from the bourgeois liberals in the PSOE subverting the UGT.

This.

I hope this is just fetishised art and they actually didn't do that.

Obviously the Iron Column, how is this even a question.

did korean mmos lie to me?

They used working clothes and "alpargatas" (espadrilles I think they are called) because they couldn't afford shoes.

Gee wiz, it's like you dont even wanna be fashionable

It's like you haven't read Homage to Catalonia or something.

Fuck statists tbh

Btw thinking about reading Anthony Beavor's book on the Spanish civil war. Anyone read or liked it?

I personally have read Orwell's book and have discussed the situation of the anarchists and the POUM with one of my marxist-leninist friends. He told(as Orwell mentions in the book) that he was a fascist and collaborated with the CIA. I'm not sure about the veracity of both statements. They seem a bit far fetched.
I am also not sure if this was a good time to carry out a revolution in Spain. Even a leftist coalition government would have been better than almost forty years of dictatorship under Franco in our country (1939-1975).
Also, thanks for such an awesome tune, user.

the CIA didn't even exist yet, in fact the US didn't even have any intelligence orgs until ww2

Pretty sure he/she mixed it up with this somehow:

Oh boy, this is gonna be good
Please point to where Orwell described himself as a fascist or anything that might be interpreted as fascist? Aside from some bizarre fetishism for British working-class culture, Orwell had been a committed socialist throughout his public career.
The CIA was only founded 3 years before Orwell died, and he spent most of those years bedridden. I highly doubt he had any involvement with the CIA.
As pointed out though, he did release a select list of British communists (mostly MLs or those sympathetic to the USSR) to the government. There's a lot of theories as to why he did this, but I'd guess it was likely bitterness against Stalinists that had been boiling since the Spanish Civil War ended: a sentiment that was held by a lot of the surviving leftist forces of that conflict.
It was as good a time as any I suppose. The tragedy of it really was that virtually no organization interested in bringing about revolution at the time was actually properly prepared to finish it. Even for people like me who liked the anarchists at that time and thought that they had a surprisingly functional political/economic program being put into action, there's no doubt that their per-requisite of actually be prepared to take power in a coherent manner was severely lacking (with only the most bare-bones plans determined less than 6 months before the revolution began). Similar organizational problems likewise arose among the various major parties at the time as well.

The CNT did nothing wrong and they still do nothing wrong. Wobblies take notice.

nazbol probably fashions himself a leftist while he would die fighting to dismantle actual working class rule hahaha

i cri everytime ;_;

I didn't say that Orwell considered himself to be a fascist. I just said that in his book, he says that the members of the POUM were considered to be fascist traitors.

Besides that, thanks for answering!

Had the Falange been more left wing they would have been cool.

Sadly the had support from reactionaries.

Rivera could have done so much
