Can you name more brilliant tactic like paradox have?

Also, what do you think about newest 1.5 update? Is egalitarian + materialist combo commie approved?

Last row is about stellaris, of course.

Paradox would be good if they didn't DLC whore but I still suck it up every time.

Also, egalitarian + materialist sounds bretty good, but you'll trigger the leftcoms. Also, I usually just bunker until I get gene warriors and Dyson spheres, then just roflstomp everyone. Seriously, spess mehrines are overpowered and will likely never be fixed.

Also, the disaster for fucking up psionic ascension is a good allegory for the real world situation.

What is wrong with psionics? I didn't tried it yet.

t. Holla Forumsyp

wut?

It's extremely powerful, but also extremely dangerous. Let's put it that way.

Does anyone here have legal copy of stellaris? I want to get steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=904863204 mod, but it's not on stellaris.smods.ru

I would if my internet weren't going at 0.5 mbs. Also, greetings fellow pirate. I only got the legal version because muh updates.

I was reading The Prophet series and some other smaller texts about the consolidation of Soviet power in the 20s and honest to God, if done correctly that shit could be the coolest strategy game of all time.

Money hidden in swiss banks to help assist an eventual european revolution, having to align your political economy and the pace of industrialization with the threat of foreign war, leading an International group of weak political parties that you can assist, staging uprisings, sending your own revolutionaries abroad in disguise to help foreign revolutions, etc.

...

this sounds like interesting tactic. When I last went for authoriatian+xenophopes species I just overwhelmed all defenses by cheap slaves.

That's ok, comrade. I was thinking if it's possible to buy only basic version of stellaris and add all expansions from piratebay to get access to steam workshop, do you think it's possible? on other hand I can't imagine myself to pay more than 10 EUR for a game, I don't have job atm

This sounds interesting, I'll read it. Too bad I don't have time to spend on open source games.

Gene warriors are stupidly powerful and Dyson spheres are ludicrously expensive but produce fucktons of energy. You're essentially capping a star and turning it into a supersize fusion reactor, which is pretty neat.

And that might be possible, I'd check the torrent sites first though.

I at least want to have one for HPM. Is there anybody working on such a thing?

But how would anarchism, for example, be modelled accurately in the given engine

...

Not sure. But anything would be better than the government automatically defaulting to Marxist-Leninism whenever socialism happens in a country, though.

It's true, they got rather sloppy with modelling the various government types. But I think anarchy would be difficult to emulate.

Playing spiritualist can be quite overpowered, you gain unity like mad and with some luck you can spawn 20k strong avatars extremely early. Or you just waste all your ressources for nothing and you get stomped by someone.

Playing paradox games while listening to theory is comfy.

I always liked doing that, playing a long and slow game while listening to something in the background, I can easily sink hours into a game and a podcast.

Its great that some people do audiobooks of communist theory now, really upped my intake. I hope that continues.

Speaking of 4X, you can get Gal Civs 2, Spacehulk Ascension and Sins of a Solar Empire Trinity on Humble Bundle right now for $1. Worth a punt if they aren't in your collection yet imo.

Honestly, gal civ just looks like a gimped version of stellaris to me

Yes and no, it's more complex in some areas and less complex in others but compared to Stellaris on release (all I played) I would say it's better, but more importantly it's like 10 years older than Stellaris, play your damn gaming history.

what is the best game where I can paint the map commie red?

How about no

Depends on era you want fam.

Industrial: Vicky II
Cold War: Twilight Struggle
Modern: idk
Future: Alpha Centauri
Spess: Stellaris

You can't not be evil while being a bourgie. Unless you wanna die.

So, whoring your 4 main games, in order to publish games that wouldn't exist otherwise.. well.. it's the less evil form of capitalism!

Anyway
Time passes

AKA like in every paradox game, if you go fullfascism you get full army superiority.

Oh, and then I managed to reach mid game and it got boring, cause going egalitarian is SLOW.

Vic 2 or HOI 2 or 4 with Kaiserreich.

Stellaris was pretty meh at release and buggy, its good now. It still has a long way to go before it reaches levels of polish like EU4 or CK2. Still worthy to be tried again.

HoI 3 can be very satisfying.

Yes.

HOI3 requires Korean levels of micromanaging skills to be played well, but it's satisfying as fuck to crush top difficulty Nazis as the French

I am autistical enough to play it with Black Ice, which I recommendate if you can bear it.

Oh dear god, black ice is critical mass levels of autism. I once made a satirical post about making 20 types of artillery
"Sort of light but not really artillery"
"Just some dudes with slingshots artillery"
And someone took it fucking seriously.

How to Paradox games, IMO:
Start with CK2.
Continue with EU4.
Stellaris.
HOI4.
HOI3.

You are now a master and have wasted half your life.

HoI 4 is utter shit though, AI is to retarded to even put troops at their front. Its their worst game by far. You can have fun with it for like 5h after that its boring.

I went from EU4 straight to HOI3. Shit.

I tried to start with HOI3. Tried.

Doesn't matter. You still lose half your life doing nothing important.

My main gripe is having to research repeat technologies year after year, just feels like a wasted mechanic.

Replace HOI4 and HOI3 with Darkest Hour and you're golden, though I'd probably start with EU4 first.

Just pirate the dlc. You won't get banned for it. It's unnoticable.

Nope, Paradox isn't as lenient as it was before, and monitors your activity now. I believe that this began with a CK2 update, but I'm not sure. /gsg/ might have more information about this.

...

Don't forget the paid mod fiasco.
And you fucking bet Bethesda is going to try it again when they unveil TES VI this E3.
Hopefully this makes a decent amount of modders go back to Morrowind in time for OpenMW 1.0

just gonna say, persona 5 is really h*ckin anarchist/left-libertarian and I daisuke it

...

i know i know, but senpai

it's persona *AND* leftist

Is Tyranny any good?

I ain't getting a PS 4. Not even to play DOAX 3.

It actually is!
I for one see no problem with the law and order our great overlord brings! Why do we have to fight each other just because people want to be "Free" or something? I also enjoy my role as Judge Dread.

Google isn't helping much here. Clarify, please.

Are board games and card games okay to talk about ITT as well? If so:
trotwars.org/print-and-play-free/

Nice.

By unhealthy curiosity i wonder how they can manage to make even TES more casual-friendly after Skyrim.

B-but am a Leninist….

Anyway, I'D BUY THAT FOR A DOLLAR! make a thread when it's for sale.

QTEs

its free download

It will be like FarCry… .. Without guns…

I aint got the people to play it with at this moment of my life anyway.

Also anyone played Vampire The Maquerade: Bloodlines? Played Brujah and sided with Anarchs. Was good game. The Final Nights is the best mod. Antitribu crashes like a mofo.

couldn't go past the horrible gameplay

I kinda wish we had the Kaiserreich syndicalist flags.

what was so bad about it?

i'm biased because i don't like real time fighting in rpgs. which means that my life is very hard because the only functioning non dungeon crawler rpgs i know are Fallout 1 and 2

but overall it felt really clunky, the third person combat was nauseating too.

i think i gave up at the zombie mission. shame because it's otherwise a good game.

...

Fallout 4 style voiced MC, race locked.
Little to no build variety, the brunt of the player power comes from things like FO4's books.
Quests will still be mainly composed of linear dungeon crawls.
Some gimmick that gamebryo can't handle.
Probably something copied from BOTW that was implemented at the last moment and it shows.
DRM for mods.

You bet they are going to go hardcore with the paid mods.

Capitalism doesn't allow for artistic progress, the game.

troika is a tragedy

arcanum and TOEE had the potential to be GOAT but were literally unplayable, especially the latter.

They became incredibly greedy after Varoufakis left. I am still playing TF2, but that game is incredibly unloved.
CSGO is basically their unloved step-child. So unloved, it got outsourced and unlike Dota, Valve doesn't even bother with giving it it's own international.

But even their posterchild Dota get's that treatment slowly but surely. Their officially sponsored recent Majors Boston and Kiev, are pretty cheap compared to last years ones.
Considering how much bucks they are making, these are extremely cheap moves by Valve. I'd like to know what is happening behind the scenes.

That seems disingenuous. After all, his job was in no small part to study and fine-tune the hat economy.

why are there leftist undertones(or pseudo leftist undertones)in most cyberpunk games ?

All I wanna do is fucking play P5 and Bloodborne, man

...

Wasteland 2, Divinity Original Sin, and Underrail(I think) are all bretty gud turn based RPGs. There's also Torment: Tides of Numenera but I didn't like the bit I managed to play.

What's the best magic to use?

it's cyberpunk in general, fam

cyberpunk is p-much required to show capitalism at it's worst, it's like a staple of the genre

From what I understand Cyberpunk as a genre is/was a sort of pessimistic reaction to Silicon Valley Tech-Utopianism in that it relies on the general message that in spite of technological progress, the vast majority of people would live in poor conditions to the point that the life of the average person could, in some ways, be even worse than the present quality of life. It just so happens that this idea is so compatible to leftism that leftists use it as a crux to promote our viewpoint

My guess is it's Isaac Deutscher's biography of Trotsky.

If anyone wants to start a private WOTLK server and play on a Chinese client lemme know because I'm down to do that and discuss anarchy. We can steal the servers, host them in squats with renewable hydrogen energy.

Cause it's the natural future of capitalism.

AND IT'S ALMOST HERE!

Wasteland 2 is but it starts slow and combat is kinda boring
Undertail is overrated and the combat is bullet hell.

And I don't know, cause am playing warior and am still in act 2.

here
www65(.)zippyshare.com/v/2oXo9A9W/file.html

I've thought of making one, but the problem is that industry can only be built by the capitalists or the state. I could add tags so that craftsmen and such can build industry and make it so that it only happens in a planned economy, but craftsmen and industrial workers are often quite poor and will never have the money to build a factory, and lowering the build costs will make socialism extremely overpowered due to the literal millions of workers you have at any given time .

At least Paradox got one thing right; ancap 'revolutions' just put the capitalists in power and start a literal dictatorship of the bourgeois.

DARKEST HOUR, not HoI 2, they're two different things.

I believe it's actually a bit more complicated. Like there are files that define the specific factories and what POPs build them, work in them, etc.

I've looked into this stuff as well.

Maybe you could start by loosening the restrictions that Communism places in-game, like the one-party system and how only state-sponsored newspapers are allowed.

Just like real life.

...

Speaking of Valve, does anyone here still play L4D2? What are your favorite custom campaigns?

...

didn't some tankies also show up in dragonfall for a brief moment ?

One of my favorite ones took place in Japan. You started in the suburbs of Tokyo, then made your way into the city, then eventually headed over to the mountains. It looks like it was Yama, but I'm not too sure.

Thanks. I really just don't have the inspiration, a lot of my recent ideas have been stupid.

Oh shit the new torment is turn based?

Yeah, but the combat isn't used that much and it isn't that good either. Most of the game is reading, so it's like Planescape in that regard (in fact, the story itself is pretty much ripped straight from Planescape. Bit dissapointing).

...

Thanks.

>tfw you're too tired and drained and poor to follow through with all your youth dreams

...

Mirrors Edge Catalyst was basically about class war (at least part of it)
Too bad the game was less than 2 hours long

based orc

Deus Ex was pretty redpilled

The first game was really short too.

Perfect games don't exis…

getting real who else is playing it and loving it?
What's your favorite weapon? Mine is the hammer

so is this shovel knight only except it being Not Megaman it's Not Sonic?

Not Sonic with some Not Kirby mixed in

nevermind, I got it. Thanks!

We talking Kirby Super Stars frantic action here?

No, imagine Kirby running through Sonic's levels

This

Is there any shooter when i can play as a commie and bring glorious communism to western world? i suck at strategy i would rather drive a tank than control an entire army tbh

Hardmode:No WW2

THANK YOU!
I screened it once, but lost it!

I loved those orcs…

bumparooni

It's not exactly what you're looking for, but there are a ton of games where you kill porky, the Hitman series being one of them.

Even if they corrected the DLC they would still be a bunch of scummy fucking sellouts to DRM.

Are free to play games leftist?
Microtransactions may be stupid, but as long as their cosmetic and aren't a pay-to-win model, then I don't see an issue with them.

Microtransactions are porky tricks. They make much more money on these things rather than providing people a finished game.

Post examples that show that capitalism works

So I got DH and got Kaiserreich and holy fuck its amazing.
Im playing as Russia and reformed it into it the soviet republic, gave power to the soviets and joined the International and am currently spreading the revolution to Ukraine and the baltics while listening to Russian commie music.

Freemium exploits people who have a gambling addiction. 90% of the players don't pay shit, the other 9% pay some, and the remaining 1% (known as whales) have their weakness exploited to no end. Charging however much for a game is a much more honest model than freemium, everyone knows upfront how much it costs, no tricks.

Aside from invading them as the CSA or Union of Britain, is there any way to Make Canada Syndicalist For Once?

"Yes, but, make it more cartoony. You know… for kids to be creative and stuff… and… nah… don't simulate evolution! Just make it.. .. for kids!"

Spore never changes.

I was going fine with france.. even had Makhno as general.. but then a prematurly went to war with germany…

A stable PS3 emulator will probably even take longer than that due to unusual CPU architecture.

So it's bad because retards have no self control?

Operation Flashpoint had a "play as the Ruskies" expansion. I'm guessing the successors (ARMA 1-?) have too. They are more like war simulators than classical shooters though. Learn to enjoy being blown up by a BMP half a map away!

My new Dead Rising analysis video, please check it out! Thanks!

Damn i wish my computer could run this. Gotta wageslave in summer to buy new one.

you probably can. I play stellaris on 2 years old 300EUR laptop. It has some downsizes, I must play on lowest quality settings and no bigger than medium map (3x speed on large map in mid/late game is as fast as 1x speed in the beginning), I can't really watch large fights and so on, but it's playable. Try to pirate it and play. There are also some tips how to run it if you google "stellaris potato computer".

...

That sounds like it ended poorly? I was doing a playthrough as the UoB. The Spanish Civil War breaks out, but the Kingdom of Spain's belligerence was not high enough for me to declare war on them at the outset. By the time it got to where I could invade them, the FAI had been pushed back to Barcelona. By the time I got to the edge of Barcelona, it had been conquered. :(

are there any good visual novels with leftyish undertones?
pic related is the last one i've played

blump

Spore was going to have an elaborate evolution system but then christfags came and fucked it all up with their whining.

Torched megachurches are something I look forward to seeing when the second american revolution happens.

americans really amaze me in their ability to worship private property AND revolt against it until it stop hurting their feeling at the same time.

...

EA needs nobody's help to do a shit job.

Is Lucio /our guy/?

Capitalism.

genius

We need a lot of people to do this, but be warned. It fucking sucks. Especially if you have morals, it's a goddamned nightmare sacrifice for the people.

Politics fucking sucks. But really, do it. It's important.

I-I mean… Uhh…. Offworld Trading Company is good for demonstrating that the end goal of capitalism is merely to become a monopoly that can charge whatever the fuck it wants.

Thanks Tito bro, i was just memeing but thanks for the reply. I've though of actually going into politics at some point but the situation where I live is weird.
