How do you defend/take a skyscraper anyway? If you opt for taking over just the top floors you have multiple elevators on every floor to defend, the lobby is always guarded/locked at night and the NYC have enough cash to land some people on the roof to get it over with quickly. I'm just saying it would be hard to achieve and over fast.

I'm thinking you need about 50 people with gas masks shields and poles- batter in the front door around 3am and mob security, usually a handful of people on the ground floor. Put security and cleaning staff outside and you've got a few minutes before squad cars start showing up. Priority here is probably getting furniture from the second floor to the first, then barricading first floor entrances (to street and to garage, if there are both.) Between barricades pikes and shields police will probably prefer some other approach if tear gas doesn't force us out, in a window from ladder-trucks or cherrypickers is likely, maybe even down from the roof with a helicopter. I think there's propaganda value in holding them off with shields and pikes, but we should be ready to retreat above the floors reachable by ladder and take the fight to the stairwells. Elevators shouldn't be a problem I'd be shocked if they didn't cut power to the building. If I had to guess where the lines stabilize? Fire-stairs about halfway up the building seems likely. Who knows how long we could hold out but I don't think there's good cause to expect an immediate loss.

Why settle for any skyscraper? If you are going to be breaking through security, you might as well pick your targets carefully. Suppose you decide to crash the CNN tower while they are broadcasting their anti Syrian propaganda with a strong anti war message. Hang Syrian flags outside the windows. Bring a picture of Assad onto the set. You would accomplish a few things this way.

1) Show the liberals (coddled by nature) that their safe spaces are being actively disintegrated by implacable ideologues (if you think I just insulted you, you didn't have the guts for it anyway).

The liberals as a demographic are not worth appealing to. Your job is not to appeal to them, to hope for their spontaneous conversion. The sheep make up a minority of the electorate with the majority being independents disgusted with both parties.

2) Show the rest of the world that the left actually has principles and will stand up to unjust wars. Currently the left has a reputation for endorsing mindless violence. Show the world directed, purposeful "violence" against widely known frauds and you will start regaining respect.

3) Further accelerate the rate of social decay. If you pull this off, then leftists will have trumped the right in terms of outrageous public deeds. This clearly cannot go unanswered. Whereas before we merely had teenagers having slapfights on the street, the competition will force both sides to commit grander and grander spectacles. This will force the government to respond one way or another. If they crack down, then they further accelerate their decline, since they obviously have something to hide. Previous tactics such as humiliation, marginalization and media blackout would be rendered ineffective by such a crackdown because the crackdown signifies that you are too big to be ignored.

Or, the government could concede to our demands, and thereby show America that the swamp can be drained, but not by any politician. Only the spontaneous activity of the people has this revolutionary potential.

I must emphasize again that your message MUST be anti war. This is the one thing that the country is pissed off about, the one thing which cannot be ignored. You cant make this about universal health care because that would involve the U.S. government doing something right for a change. Nobody believes this.
