Why the fuck aren't we talking to more soldiers about socialism and Rojava?

So basically, this guy is an ultra pleb who says thinks like "I'm neither left nor right" but because he phrased it as "neither liberal nor conservative" you think he means something more unorthodox and left-wing. He's also a religious retard who probably only agreed with that phrase because he can't grasp the implications behind it, and you think this is "talking to him about socialism".
Seriously, you all need to stop interpreting trivial bullshit like that a sign of a latent radicalism in people. It comes off as desperate, delusional and needy.
Nah I explained to him the implications behind it, like an irreducible minimum etc. He thinks it's preposterous that some people own several houses but veterans are still living as homeless. His only concern was "would I be able to choose what I did?". It turns out that christian morality can be pretty good at guiding people towards socialism.
Thats pretty much because capitalism is fucked if you want to make any sort of moral argument in favor of it
digits reeee
Feels good man
I guess my point is that we're too quick to dismiss people we perceive as reactionary when in reality they would be very receptive to socialist ideas. There's a lot of untapped potential out there that we should be working with more. Nice satanic trips btw
I talk to my hick friends all the time about anarchism, and, on a basic level e.g. I'd love to sit around and make knives all day and go hunting and not have to pay for food and no govt to take away my guns, they seem really drawn in by the idea. But eventually you get to the question of economics and I have a hard time explaining its merits
I more or less argue for Libertarian Municipal model and my mates seem pretty down for it
Could you elaborate? Maybe we could help you come up with better ways to explain it
...
some of the exmil guys who've gone to Rojava have become socialists during there time there. Gunter Helsten was a German Army and French Foreign Legion Vet but he became an ardent Apoist during his time in Rojava. Unfortunately he died.
made me kek
It seems like the argument always comes down to "Well okay, I really like this concept of freedom, but why will someone voluntarily build houses for other people?" or "What happens if a member of the citizenry doesn't feel he is being adequately compensated for his work?" or "Where do workers syndicates get their supplies and resources from?"
There is only so much you can answer with "Planning for after the revolution is reactionary."
links on the municipal model?
I mean, people out in the country help each other out all the time with the understanding that the favor would be returned. This is just extending the idea.
He can bring it up with a meeting at the council.
Where do employers get their supplies and resources from?
These all pretty much seem to come down to interdependence of people on others. We work for and with each other because to not do so would mean death. Really, the essential maxim "from each etc etc" puts it pretty nicely.
Here's a more detailed introductory work on the model. In essence, it means direct democratic government on the municipal level with a libertarian socialist constitution, and a confederation to facilitate cooperation between said municipalities. Interdependence is also a key part of this model
Ever heard of barn raisings? We help people for free all the time, and before Capitalism we did it a lot more.
He'll probably be more adequately compensated than he would if he was working for a boss. If it really becomes a problem, they'd talk about it.
A lot can be acquired locally, with some restructuring (rooftop farming, building basic industry), but in the end local communities will be dependent on other communities. It is neither feasible nor desirable for communities to be completely self-sufficient.
JUUUUCHHHHEEEEE
