For example, the chances you even know where Trotsky diverged theoretically from the other factions among Bolsheviks are zero, but you heard a lot of people attacking him so now you're doing it too because you're desperate for approval. Well the big thing is trots can't even get along with other trots. It's not quite as common nowadays but trotskiest organizations are the most notorious splitters in the left, which is fucking saying something.

The SPD isn't social democrat since 1914, they became bourgeois liberals under the traitor Ebert and, disregarding short episodes under Brandt and Lafontaine, they are still Ebert style liberals today. By 1919 all social democrats had left the SPD and had joined either the USPD or KPD, which became new homes for social democrats. Today we have only one social democrat party in Germany which is called LINKE, it houses social democrats, socialists and communists, just like the original Social Democrat Party was the home of the entire german worker's movement before 1914.
Moreover, it is wrong to state that real social democrats are opposed to communism, we differ from other leftists only that we don't believe that a violent revolution is the best way to achieve it and we probably also care more about Realpolitik in the best interest of the working class so workers can enjoy at least small enhancements of their life *now* and not just suffer under the corporate yoke and wait for a distant utopia or die in a failed uprising.
