Keep in mind, the Bible, both Old and New Testaments, were written years after the supposed historical dates of when the events in it happened. That means a lot was either lost in translation or just plain pulled out of the assholes of the often batshit insane scribes who wrote them.
We can't trust the Bible alone to paint a clear picture of the historical Jesus for us. There's probably essays of shit in there that Jesus never actually said.
