Traveling to the KSA for work for half a year. I heard that border agents will scan all your electronics for "questionable" material, and I'm sure that I've visited sites (including this one now that I think of it) that are probably reason enough for them to give me a hard time to say the least. What measures can/should I take to support my data/devices?
On a related note, what general measures should be taken by leftists worried about cybersecurity?
Colton Wood
How about not going to saudi arabia?
Cooper King
…any serious answers? Obviously I have to go for work or I wouldn't go.
Nathan Roberts
delete browser history, delete cookies. Delete any "bad" pictures or videos from PC. empty trashcan That should probably get you trough any airport security.
Bentley Wilson
Any need to reformat devices? I'm worried they might search more extensively than just looking at such a basic level
Grayson Lee
I doubt it. But I 'v never been to ksa. So don't take my word for it. Do you need to bring your good stuff? Generally you can't trust a computer that's been in government hands.
Thomas Gomez
If I was rich I'm sure I could just take backup devices but I don't really have the funds for a burner phone/computer if that's what you mean by "good stuff". I think I'll buy an external drive to import any stuff I want to save for getting back and then reformat just to be safe
Brandon Rivera
yeah, that's what I meant.
sounds like a reasonable plan. Remember that what's considered obscene is different from the west, so try to not have any bikini pictures or stuff like that.
Christian Ortiz
I'm honestly more worried about politically/philosophically offensive material than I am about anything pornographic. Just the fact that I have books written by prominent shia philosophers in my collection could raise eyebrows.
Oliver Morris
Just sperg out hardcore and maybe they'll tackle you and you could sue the shit out of them and basically win the lottery.
Thomas Hill
t. americlap
Brandon Torres
I'm talking about sueing the airline not Saudi Arabia itself, also keep in mind you can sue abroad for libel and slander so I would watch what slurs you call me.
Isaiah Jenkins
The worry is that customs agents in Saudi Arabia look through devices, not the airline. Also, go ahead and sue for that slur if you wish. Should be one hell of a case.
Christopher Cook
quit your fucking job you class traitor. DON'T WORK FOR IMPERIALIST SLAVE OWNERS YOU FUCKING FAGGOT.
I hope they throw you in prison and sell you as a sex slave to ISIS.
John Reed
Acquire different electronic devices.
Brody Ramirez
Seriously kill yourself
Sebastian Harris
Lol I'm working for an American company that does business with the Saudis, and they're sending me over to work in the branch that's still owned/operated largely by Americans. By that standard, assuming you work in the west, I am no more a class traitor for having a job than you are.
And "class traitor" doesn't mean "having a job" anyway no matter how hard you sperg out.
James Morales
Reformatting might not be deep enough, just swap the HDDs. Also, I assume you already have your normalfag/wageslave internet accounts (NSABook, Twatter, LinkedIn, GMail, etc.) separate from and unidentifiable with your personal activities (pseudonymous, anonymous) online.
Jeremiah Ortiz
Use bleach bit to clear shit and you should be fine. No need to change out hardware.
Adam Clark
t. lifestyle liberalism
Carson Hughes
Not at the airport they won't. Doing that kind of deep search would take real time and effort.
Jackson Robinson

What are the usual ways those accounts are identifiable with your personal activities? Not OP btw
