Now cue to the armchair retards to explain what he REALLY meant

the funny thing is, bordiga actually did not abstain from direct action at all, he was just very critical of what was useful and what wasn't

Armchair is not meant as to be a metonym to left-coms or Bordiga, even though it might apply to some of his followers in this board

Marx on whether or not to fight for local labor entrenchment against capital.

TL;DR you're useless and so is fighting for a higher minimum wage.

Now cue the activists to explain what he REALLY meant.

Marx onJewish niggers.

TL;DR you're a Jewish nigger and so is not being glad bad things happen to Jewish niggers.

Now cue the Jewish niggers to explain what he REALLY meant.

Might be necessary, as nothing you have quoted supports your interpretation of it

Marx had some fantastic banter. I wish the pseudo-marxists over at /r/socialism would read this so they can denounce Marx for being a 'brocialist sinner' instead of ruining Marx's name even further.

In his correspondence with Engels he talks about how fat and disgusting Bakunin was all the time

Marx was #problematic af, and he needs to be reclaimed as such

it hurts

ironic considering Marx developed carbuncles on his ass from writing the Capital.

Would Marx have been a shitposter in the 21st century?

I feel like he nearly used the armchair meme here

definitely

More likely than not. From what I've read he loved nothing more than pointing out the intellectual shortcomings of others and tearing them apart with his buddy Engels. I bet his posted would be legendary.

Another one on abstentionism:

Complete abstention from political action is impossible. The abstentionist press participates in politics every day. It is only a question of how one does it, and of what politics one engages in. For the rest, to us abstention is impossible. The working-class party functions as a political party in most countries by now, and it is not for us to ruin it by preaching abstention. Living experience, the political oppression of the existing governments compels the workers to occupy themselves with politics whether they like it or not, be it for political or for social goals. To preach abstention to them is to throw them into the embrace of bourgeois politics. The morning after the Paris Commune, which has made proletarian political action an order of the day, abstention is entirely out of the question.

We want the abolition of classes. What is the means of achieving it? The only means is political domination of the proletariat. For all this, now that it is acknowledged by one and all, we are told not to meddle with politics. The abstentionists say they are revolutionaries, even revolutionaries par excellence. Yet revolution is a supreme political act and those who want revolution must also want the means of achieving it, that is, political action, which prepares the ground for revolution and provides the workers with the revolutionary training without which they are sure to become the dupes of the Favres and Pyats the morning after the battle. However, our politics must be working-class politics. The workers' party must never be the tagtail of any bourgeois party; it must be independent and have its goal and its own policy.

The political freedoms, the right of assembly and association, and the freedom of the press — those are our weapons. Are we to sit back and abstain while somebody tries to rob us of them? It is said that a political act on our part implies that we accept the exiting state of affairs. On the contrary, so long as this state of affairs offers us the means of protesting against it, our use of these means does not signify that we recognise the prevailing order.

he lived in the 1800s. its not comparable to today sorry

Bullshit. You can't study 19th century history and socialist history without being astonished at how similar the politics back then and today are. Just reading through Marx's correspondence and beefs you can see all the same objections and platforms you still encounter today, including from the Left. And that's because despite some technological advancement, some social progress and some new techniques of managing and expanding capitalism, we're still dealing fundamentally with the same system. All the ideas we now have already existed back then, even if they present themselves as new.

Waiting for the leftcoms to show up and tell us to actually read Marx.

Voting is retarded. If you actually give a shit you find learn about the actual political structure of your country, find out who all the politicians and lawmakers are, and make a big effort to befriend them all. Bonus if you're an occultist / philosopher and in general a very knowledgeable, learned man who knows and is at least somewhat active or involved in some way with all the secret societies. This is what I personally do. I cultivate influence like this and try to get my friends to do the same and then I sway and subvert the whole fucking spectrum across all parties, making them change positions wherever possible to be more aligned with my agenda. This isn't that hard to do. I vote too; for joke parties but heh whatever. I am making a far bigger difference by actually knowing these lawmakers and politicians and persuading them (I am a mentalist btw and have studied how to exploit people's mental structures) to change there policies. Who fucking cares which party or particular set of politicians are in power so long as you can get them to do what you want? Of course I'm just one man and there's only a few other people doing the same as me right now but if more people from these boards would start doing the same as well as infiltrating positions in these parties, companies, the judicial system, etc. we can change the country around. The voting meme is pretty much only good in my country for giving smaller parties a little extra funding since each vote they get, they get a certain amount of money from the government. So I toss my votes to small parties I like and want to grow, not really caring who wins, and I always have some strategy going on to try to turn the circumstances favorably no matter what the current conditions and people are. If I was a bigger businessman than I am already too my money could also help to get a lot more done but I haven't broken 7 digits yet.

bump

Marx on the communist state:

bank with state capital, and the suppression of all private banks and bankers.
bringing new lands into cultivation and improvement of land already under
cultivation – all in proportion to the growth of the capital and labor force at the disposal of the nation.

Now cue the revolutionaries to explain what he REALLY meant.

You think that's a programme for the transition/creation of Communism? That's quite embarrassing and leads me to believe if you haven't finished the Commiefesto m8.

Is this some kind of joke about Alexander Dugin.

I'm relatively reformist as well, but it has been explained many times on this board that this list of demands was published in the Communist manifesto to give the 1848 revolutionaries concrete short-term demands to rally around. These policies in no way represent a maximal socialist program as envisioned by Marx.

The conclusion of Value Price and Profit is that workers must fight for higher wages whenever possible, to compensate for inevitable cuts in the future.
