Seriously - Is there anyone in here 40 or over in here? Like me? I am concerned about the young kids (< 27) in these boards because they are my kids' age.
Is there anyone in here over 40 years old?
>I am concerned about the young kids (< 27) in these boards because they are my kids' age.
Why are you concerned?
...
Death to the gerontocracy.
Probably because half our posts are about wanting to commit suicide
He said he was over 40.
There's where you went wrong in life. The secret to preserving your youth is to not give it to somebody else. Seriously though, it is fucking weird to hang out with a bunch of faggots who never used a typewriter before, can't program a VCR, did not have the networks censor their Saturday morning cartoons, were never able to know the joy of playing music that terrifies their parents, never had a nightmare about nuclear annihilation, and have no idea what privacy means.
Hey man. I'm 25 and I HAVE programmed a VCR. I've used a typewriter. I remember watching TMNT (barely) on Saturday mornings. I played music that terrified my parents. Maybe not nuclear annihilation, but I did watch our country die before my eyes in 4th grade (9/11 anyone???).
I'd say I had a damn good childhood….
but oh yeah privacy lmao good luck w/ that
Love that picture of Uncle Tom…
hey now, thats only normalshits who blithely accept anything they dont have to think about.
Holla Forums seems to be older than other chans, but that usually means like, 25+. But there were some older people on the Discord last time I entered.
Are you sure? I've noticed quite a bit of kiddies.
I was talking about cartoons that they actually had to censor. Back in the eighties everyone's favorite Saturday morning cartoon was Loony Tunes. Loony Tunes was chock full of murder, suicide, domestic abuse, all manner of violence, and racism so blatant that it puts Holla Forums to shame. Of course, all the whiny soccer moms and family values bitches screamed at the networks until they started cutting whole bits out of cartoons. They even bitched about the shitty edutainment shows like G.I. Joe, Thundercats, and My Little Pony. It fucking sucked.
What, like Cannibal Corpse or DMX? Was anybody still afraid of that after Slayer and Easy E?
Did that frighten kids? I know I was frightened but only because I was worried that my squadron would have to go to the desert. It probably did frighten children, come to think of it. That whole turrism panic was probably overwhelming to kids who hadn't known any real existentially threatening adversary before.
…and now I'm a marxist. Funny how that works.

Hey, we had school shooters too back in the day.

I'm 38. Getting more leftist with age.
thanks
That was about the 00's, but the current day is even wackier considering we got frog-worshiping neo-Nazis who believe they memed in a reality show host into the White House against a child rapist and if they meme harder they'll cause winter and kill all nonwhites
I'm 24. While those of us in our 20s might be young, please don't lump us in with the 18, 19, 20 years old and the underage. People who have actually worked have a different perspective to students.
I'm 34, just shitposting and getting by.
And one for you.
Thats the worst meme I've ever seen
welcome to Holla Forums
where everyone's memes are shit because talent is distributed evenly
I was usually the kid surprising people because I knew all the music they used to listen to as kids. They'd be like 'How'd you even hear of that?' Me: 'Mislabeled shit on Napster and Limeware.'
I dunno. Not really for me. I was doing odds even back then. Likely hood of dieing were astronomically low. It was like even if I was in NYC that day I probably wouldn't be in the WTC building. The hijacking>suicide crash felt like a one off incident. Never seemed that scary really. I think we were still fucked up about the 2000 election in my household so it was more like let's keep an eye on this fucker and what he tries to pull.
Not to mention I live in the type of City/Neighborhood where people get shot. It's like I lived through the 90s. This 9/11 shit seems less likely than getting murked in a driveby.
I watched Looney Toons all the time back in the 90s. CN used to pad their schedule with all sorts of old cartoons back before they made Boomerang.
That is true, but right around 27 is when your life will start to change. Parties stop being quite so important. You get confident enough about sex that you develop a bit of a swagger. You will start shopping from the top shelf at the liquor store. You will start to think of yourself as a professional who doesn't have to put up with entry-level bullshit anymore… or maybe you won't experience that since you were smart enough to become a socialist before then.
But yeah, you're in a different stage than college kids.
That was crazy.
The guy who lost the popular vote won the election! And it was on crooked bullshit! How could that happen in America? Ah well, it is not like he can fuck anything up. All his father's advisors are there to keep him in line.
Here you go granddad youtube.com
I think I've already reached that point tbh. I don't mind parties - although it depends on what you define a party as. I've always hated clubs. Sex hasn't been awkward for quite a few years - and I mostly drink craft beer, not hard liquor. And I am currently in an entry level professional job… And I already despise the fact that people think I'm too retarded to do anything. I mean, I basically get paid to be treated like an idiot.
Nearly 27, but I have used a typewriter when I was, I dunno, 6 or so.
...
30 boy logging in!
I'm 20 and I have nightmares about nuclear annihilation all the time
I have… posamonitions
Is that why everyone hates us? I assumed the distribution of the memes would make it a utopia, not worse.
...
I was coming back from a school and giggled while looking at the TV because i was hating clapistan with a passion due to Bush jr.
i'm 40
Hmm - One person.
A sound plan.
