How to kill the capitalist desire to own things?

How to kill the capitalist desire to own things?

There's nothing wrong with owning things.
The real problem is the capitalist desire to exploit others.

Make things abundant enough that nobody feels insecure that they might lose access.

first of all , i do not have an answer to your question.
i have a question myself, and that is WHY you think that a desire (in this example the desire to own things) is somehow tied to a specific economic/political spectrum.
because i think that a desire can only be explained by biology or maybe philosophically etc.
not trying to derail btw.

own everything

Owning things is fine for us socialists, ultimately we seek to end scarcity in a majority of forms to undercut the desire in man to horde by allowing them access to what they desire in a moments notice.
I know this problem might be weighing you down, but for real, it aint heavy baby

Make people achieve ``satori''.

So we must read SICP and become expert programmers?

Clojure > Scheme

thinking about it, this is quite a good joke.

Dumb frogposter.

...

What if the things you want only help fund said exploitation?
The answer is probably just stealing it

Do you NEED this copy of Das Kapital? No? Then why do you have it? Oh! You mean people are not ants and want to express their individuality! Hmmm..

How could we promote this, without the fetishization of money and possesion, that is constantly propagaded by media and marketing, I wonder…

aka what classucks say whenever someone brings ethics to the table

They doesn't desire to "own things". Anyone can desire that. Capitalists desire profit, endless profit.

don't*

Tell me more about how ethicly your coffee today was produced…

There's necessary shit you need and can't live without buying, and tons of stuff you don't need and only cause waste and fuel to capitalism. So what's wrong on cutting down? Even entertainment, you can just stick to anything online.
I think the answer to OP is to probably get a different hobby. Probably not even two different, I've been interested on people creating their own figures(though it's usually editing an already existing figure).

I don't know fam but in search of an answer I started reading this.

ha ha ha forgot my shitposting flag

owning personal property is fine and addresses the basic human psychological need for security and privacy.

the stuff we want to be collectively owned is the constant capital, plant and machinery, land and water.

...

Well, nobody forbids you from fantasizing! And you can even make them less shit! Untill .. oh wait.. they were.. it was the 80s-00s.. and now it's back to crisis untill destruction of production, via war…

Darn it.. And you were going to have things get less shit…

do you think you're funny lol

There is no truly ethical consumption under capitalism, but if a more ethical option is available to you, why wouldn't you do it? I swear these retarded memes only help porky.

Yesssssss keep giving us your hard-earned money.

I enjoy Posadism.

Name one "ethical option".
And don't make me use the "Zizek on Sturbucks" meme.

Get off your computer. Why do you own said computer? Do you encourage the use of a computer and the parts built on low wage? You shouldn't own a computer at all, just think of all the corporate greed that went into making that thing.

With me it's out of legos. It's a great system, but if only it was fully automated and used anything that wasn't carbon to make.

That and generally make our own stuff, so it's more fulfilling.>>1551008

We don't need to expreess anything, we don't have to prove anything. Expressing individuality just gets hijacked into idpol. Staying hidden is the best way to operate.

By not living in capitalism, you fools.

We are creatures of our material existence, we are bound to display the traits that make sense with the socio-economic world we find ourselves in. When capitalism is gone, the "human nature" associated with capitalism will wither away too, just as it has always happened with each revolution to our socio-economic world.
