I just wanted to say thanks for being here Holla Forums. It all started out 6 months ago when I was ideologically lost and Trump won. I was a Holla Forumsyp and initially supported Trump, but quickly realized how broken the system was, and my illusion got shattered. I was in low spirits for a couple months, wandering aimlessly in the ideological realm because I was lost. Then I stumbled upon this board and I've since then become a leftist.
So, yeah, thanks for being here Holla Forums. Love y'all.
Well, you're welcome. Its always good to have more people on board with whom one can have a constructive conversation.
How does the shift feel? What have you changed into? How does leftypol feel different from pol?
Lincoln Wilson
All things considered this really is a comfy board compared to other politics themed boards

You are more than welcome here. Enjoy your stay.

I've felt that about 75% of threads are crap here but I'm glad you're getting what you need out of it.
Wyatt Cox
cheers comrade
I'm a rehabilitated Holla Forumsack aswell

And the BO wants us to leave so that things like this can never happen again and Holla Forums can just have a stranglehold on all the ideological discource here and if people get disenfranchized all that will be left is fucking /liberty/.
Logan Clark
It was very hard to accept at first, because I've been a reactionary since I was a teenager (and basically hated everything left) but gave in after I read and came to understand some of the central points of communism.
Brayden Clark
I am also a former Holla Forumsyp.
I am now debating between Anarcho-Communism, Luxemburgism, or on my dark days, SocDem.
I went from hating Muslims and Blacks, into support Bookchin's communalism.

B-but we might get deleted!

Get on my level.
William Diaz
Intersting. I have been of the opinion now that communalism is a very easy sell to populists, even those on the right wing. Would you agree with that notion?
Parker Martin
Thanks leftypol for opening my eyes.
Jace Mitchell
This is the power of Bookchin.

In order to state Rojava to right-wing libertarians, you will need to emphasizes its decentralized anti-statist nature.
Hunter Scott
same. i watched that capitalism 101 playlist someone linked and it really changed my perspective on things.
Jayden Reed
I ended up liking Tito a whole lot more. Only really knew him as the dude Stalin couldn't kill before I came here.
Michael Morales
Been a SocDem basically since I've ever been thinking about politics (high school debate) even though I've been on /new/ and Holla Forums for a few years. Got more leftist. Now I'm here.
Thanks for being a (most of the time) reasonable place to discuss politics.
Gabriel Roberts
you are like a little baby
Sebastian Perry
What is the populace of /liberty/ like? Is it all ancaps? Are there some mutualists or egoists for example?
Eli Carter
it's all corporate tyranny libertarians and hoppean ancaps, you won't find any agorists, mutualists or egoists
Wyatt Morris
Reading Stalin opened my eyes

My politics were always somehow 'left' and I always knew that but I didnt realize capitalism is the problem and socialism is the answer because I didnt really have any strong position other than the underlying hatred for corporations and government, and 'fuck femenists and sjws'. I watched sargon alot and briefly bought into the meme that the 'communism' is the real source of the problem with the mai nstream left sjws and shit.
Put more straightforwardly, my political understanding and anti-capitalism was directly, actively retarded by libtards and proggies. SJWs are one fucking hundred percent cointelpro, in case you needed a reminder.

Before last year I was pretty much always center-left. I thought corporations were bad but only needed regulation. Just think of me as a bern-tard. Thankfully tho I was slightly open to communism because I'd heard things like "socialism isn't that bad" and "China wasn't actually communist" alongside things like "communism can never work" and "socialism means big gubment." Anyways, I was in a big anti-SJW phase for a while but I hated the racist alt right of course. I ended up finding out about this board. "Wow, cool, a left-leaning board that hates SJWs and the aut right." I thought the commie memes were ironic, but once I actually found out about communism I instantly became one.

I don't know a lot about politics and philosophy. I'm just a broke idiot trying to figure out his place in life who got shafted hard by most of his bosses and read up on how fucked up they are in my country; their influence on most of the media and academia, and all that. I've also never been fond of reactionaries, they kind of have an history of fucking up my family. It's come to a point my highest priority and principle are trying to get people to look for more in life than amassing capital and spending it in opulent stuff.
I can't contribute much but it is fun to comment political news and pro-worker memes here. Holla Forums was fun I guess but this place is downright comfy, I feel much more identified with what you guys post.

Thanks for bringing Stirner to my attention. To me it was by far the most empowering book I have ever read (and I did read a few)

The aspect of radical devolution of power and decentralization is very appealing to burger right-wing sensibilities.
