The credibility of the mainstream media has been pretty much skewered, and I don't believe that will change, even if they are opposed to Trump and appear to win in the end if he is impeached or reaches Harding level disapproval ratings. A lot of the Alt Right and Alt Lite that don't distance themselves from Trump very soon will also be damaged. In fact, it's probably too late for them to not take some loss in their credibility.

The Obama comparison is a fair one, but with Trump I think the turnaround will be much more drastic. Obama as a person apart from his policies rarely gave you much to hate him for, though Fox would take many of his statements out of context in order to do so. You could disagree with Obama, but not think that he was peevish or overtly narcissistic.

Obama also knew policy and played his role well. Obama could actually explain his healthcare bill in detail, which of course Trump could not.

There are a bunch of comparisons that could be made, and Obama wins almost all of them. Trump is way funnier and more alpha in many respects, but those can be double-edged traits.

Both are propaganda. I don't think there's any media, specially in Burgerland, who doesn't follow an agenda imposed by a lobby or a wealthy individual to a tee. Mainstream or not.

I don't understand whats so hard for people to realize all the mainstream news stations are owned by people with political agendas or have strong ties to those who do. Right or left they're all just trying to skew you towards them.

When the antifa backlash was in the height of its popularity, I remember Paul Joseph Watson vomiting some news straight out of conservative Spanish media outlets about an antifa gang beating up a "poor innocent girl whose only crime was to wear a Spanish flag". When in reality that girl was an actual neonazi kingpin who called herself "Inga Levy" on social media, had the Odal rune tatooed and even had a criminal record (to top it all, her grandfather was the founder of a far right political Murcian party, and some people say she has relatives in the government, I've certainly seen a female justice minister with both her second and middle name). The actual beating, all on camera, started after she got into a fight with a girl from the antifa group, who came to talk to her, and they kicked her once they had separated them and she was on the ground. So, with the "spanish flag" narrative pushed, something that was impossible to check on the recording was established as the motive for a gang fight who didn't even end with anybody in the hospital.

And of course, the conservative media started denying she had a criminal record, and called her a child, even though she was 20. She would have been fine if she and her whole gang hadn't beat up a family and been identified months later.

And I forgot to mention. PJW doubled down and flat out invented the people beating her up were "muslims". And since it was a video of some people beating up a girl from a foreign country, most comments I saw were just eating it up.

I believe Americans call this "chinese whispers".

Most major media couldn't even be called left or right wing or at least not in the sense that Holla Forums and Holla Forums are. The whole MSM shills for capitalism and globalization. Any meaningul anti-capitalist or economically nationalist policies will never receive air-time or endorsement. The MSM is only right/left in the sense of taking a strong stance on meaningless smoke screen idpol issues like affirmative action, trannies etc.
