Why is Dore doing this?

Does he actually believe that Roosevelt was an ally of the working class? I feel that Jimmy Dore knows better than that. Why doesn't he use his platform to reveal the truth about FDR? Cause if a liberal learns to despise FDR then at that point, they have probably become a socialist.

Huey Long was the real progressive. Roosevelt is a better used as an illustration of the power of public pressure and organizing, rather than anyone to really idolize. Nixon works there too though.

The only reason I sort of like FDR is because he bullied the Supreme Court (basically the most overrated institution in the entire American government.) Huey Long was still superior in just about every way. Liberals were scared shitless by him. Just ask Sinclair Lewis.

All criticisms of him boil down to "he was really mean to everyone!"

He was based

Fucking Socdems…

Why are you and most Leftists so stupid?
You can't even grasp basic ideas like nuance and tact. No wonder you have shit PR.
If Dore wants to use FDR to get ordinary people to be willing to listen to his progressive, political ideas, then so what?

Are you going to attack Jimmy Dore as a "filthy liberal" because he's not as ideologically pure as you want him to be?

If that's his game he should use Lincoln. The only people who dislike Lincoln are the ones who propagate the state's rights meme, which is code for "we miss slavery."

e-celeb thread

you guys realize those are created so the celeb rakes in ad revenue, yes?

FDR brought social democracy to America. 1933 (the start of FDR's term)-1970s was the social democratic golden age of America.

Social security (unemployment benefits, retirement benefits, disability benefits), medicare, medicaid, food stamps, we owe all that shit to FDR's legacy. FDR got the ball rolling on all that shit.

And now the Republicans and even the Democrats are scaling back the gains of the FDR legacy. The Democrats erroneously believe that they got blown the fuck out in the 80s by Reagan and Bush Sr. because they were too far to the left. The result was Bill Clinton. And now the Democrats probably think that they need to move further right now to compete with the Republicans. When the problem is that the Democrats chased the center and alienated their base.

Dore at best is a democratic socialist basic bish

Democratic socialism is the only brand of socialism that the American public will even entertain at this point. Calling for the violent overthrow of the bourgeoisie and bourgeoisie institutions will get you labelled a "terrorist".

People are still cucked when it comes to 9/11 for fucks sake.

There is absolutely nothing innocent about the day traders, the bankers, the shareholders and their foot soldiers, etc. who died on 9/11.

Social security, unemployment benrfits and work programmes all help the working class. Learn some nuance, Dore isn't a commie.

right but it was deep state and bankers who had the towers destroyed and it was done by Paki/Saudi Intelligence trained agents who were in contact with people who had a financial interest in the explosion of Opium and illegal Oil that occurred after the War on Terror was declared. The power the Pakistani security state and Saudis have attained from US military presence in their vicinity is not to be underestimated. It was legitimately foreign powers, the deep part of the nat security state and then globalist bankers who attacked american citizens. which is a big deal, waving it off as just crazy muslims killing porky drones is short sighted

At this point Varg Vikerness is a better socialist than Jimmy Dore.

Democratic "socialism" is capitalism

Jimmy Dore is a liberal on TYT network, more news at 11. Just because he's slightly better than them doesn't mean he still isn't anything but a classcucked liberal.

Not necessarily, they subsidize the lives of certain members of the working class at the expense of other members of the working class. They also undermine higher wage earners within the working class by burdening them to a level that makes it impossible for them to ever break away from their wage slavery or move up into the ownership class.

I hadn't heard of this man before but I find that pretty hard to believe.

Dore isn't perfect, but he's one of the few people telling it like it is about the democrats.

You might as well ask why people have sympathy for Sanders even though all he offered was capitalism with a human face. It's better than nothing in the here and now.

t. social democratic 1970s nostalgist.

>Jimmy still hasn't gotten the Wolff on his show

Are we doing our job and urging him?

Democratic socialism is completely different. Social democracy is capitalism with regulations. There is a difference between the two. Bernie Sanders is a social democrat (or at the very least what he advocates is really social democracy. Maybe he has a hidden power level) who calls himself a democratic socialist.

This is why high earning members of the working class are so classcucked that they resent people on welfare (the visible small parasite) rather than turn their attention to the bigger, but less obvious parasite (bourgeoisie). Redistributionist programs usually involve redistributing wealth from the high-earning working-class (or "middle-class" professionals if you will like doctors, engineers, etc.) to the low-earning working class. The capitalist class makes most of their wealth from long-term capital gains. On which they only pay half the tax. While labourers pay the full tax rate. The capitalist class is also able to take advantage of many tax credits that labourers do not enjoy. Lots of American corporations and bourgeoisie individuals pay little to no tax.

The bourgeoisie need to start paying their fair share. There should be a full tax on long-term capital gains. And tax credits/tax loopholes for the bourgeoisie need to be eliminated.
