It's frustrating because I want to talk with other autists who have experienced similar things to me. But every autistic community I've entered on the internet has been COMPLETE SHIT. Even on wrongplanet, I found out that autists are incapable of having empathy for EACH OTHER too. Not just for neurotypicals. Empathy has never been something I lacked. Or maybe these kids just want to be edgy on the internet. I'm 31. Sometimes I ask myself what the fuck am I doing on the internet. A lot of these kids online are half my age. But there is like no community for autistic adults for me.

I was diagnosed with PDD or PDD-NOS when I was a child though. I have to imagine that there are variations. I'm having doubts about the accuracy of the diagnosis. There may be some other disorder I have similar to autism but different. Because the complete lack of empathy I notice from autistic people online is shocking to me.

well, we were just started a year ago so we're still getting our footing. but currently we're working on bringing professor wolff to do a lecture, and on a petition drive/protest on rising costs of tuition. we also have weekly meetings where we discuss organizing for the first thirty minutes and then a random political/economic topic for the last thirty minutes.

I'm studying to become a teacher and I am struggling with getting a job (money soon gone and then I'm fucked)

Unfortunately, they are managed by private organizations and they squeeze every fucking last penny out of you just to take the test. Some cost 200-400 usd per test, and require multiple test to get the cert.

For help desk/general maintenance type work you really just need i.t. fundamentals, and A+ from comptia.
For sys admin work/assistant sys admin you'll need network+ linux+ (i have level 3, but level 1 is probably fine for most environments) security+ and usually some certifications from other providers like Microsoft's windows server shit. For help desk stuff it wouldn't hurt to have that Microsoft office bullshit.
