Any game that is enjoyed by the many, ever made, is anarchistic. No popular MMO has private property, there is no popular mmo where you can buy a raid dungeon and charge other players for entry, or buy a mine/field and charge rent for usage. Any game that does this gets abandoned quickly.

Any mmo has the goal of improving yourself and your personal property, which doesnt, as you said, handicap the other players. Capitalism does. Shooters which reward you with more overpowered weapons as you go on (or buy them) are often dislikes because they disadvantage newer players. That is why they need a new CoD every year or so. But games like TF2, overwatch or other genres like MOBAS dont make unlockable/purchasables more powerfull. They are just as good as the others, but play differently. They reward player skill and dont handicap other players. Capitalism does handicap others.

The only games that do have some sort of private property are extreme fringe games like EVE (max ~4k players online), and those games are pretty much impossible to play without joining an existing group which already has power.

I legitimately thought I was crazy at first but i strongly think the game's big "message" is political in nature. One would normally assume Taro's message was just some hippy crap about saving the earth or "robots are people too" simplicity but noticing the more subtle references makes the case for something else entirely.
Besides Pascal's village being peaceful communists, and the Machines themselves being collectivist by design, the Machines are all technically equal because their parts are all modular, tradeable, and interchangeable. All of them have the same "cores" and usually the same heads. The only exceptions are certain bosses.

Meanwhile The leftist machines must inherently fight their enemies on the right: the Androids. The androids believe they are fighting to remove the "Alien" machines from the earth to let the remaining humans on the Moon move back home. However it is later revealed that the machines themselves killed off all the alien invaders, and that all remaining humans went extinct centuries ago. The lie is kept up to keep the Androids motivated.

Visually, the Nazi references with Yorha are apparent as well. The Yorha battle armor blatently features a stahlhelm and gold/black aka the known colors of basic Fascism. And all the Yorha androids being blond/white hair and blue eyes Aryan bots as well was noteable. Also, their Mecha flyer machines are called HO229s. Which is the name of the infamous Nazi prototype jet plane, the HO-229.

The greater overall message is horribly depressing.

As states before, everything the Androids fight for is a lie from the past. All of Yorha is expendable, disposable soldiers designed to eventually be defeated and obsoleted. The secret force behind Yorha deliberately left a hole in the cyber-security of their satellite base (The Bunker) and every Yorha unit and allowed the Machines to hack in and blow up the base and takeover the Yorha forces on the ground. These units are all sacrificed in order to make room for the next wave of Yorha Androids, made to be better using the data obtained from the previous units. These units will go to war against the machines again and the cycle will continue.

The Machines themselves are shown to allow units to mentally deviate and evolve for different circumstances. This causes many splinter groups to form off from the main Network then begin to form their own ideas and culture. These include peaceful bots who avoid the war like Pascal's village and the bots at the Fairgrounds, and also lesser cultural deviations like the imitating garb of the desert bots. Many of these bots are very intrigued with past human culture and ideals and seek to imitate them themselves. However the Machines are under sinister rule themselves. Also backed by some secret force, they must continuously be made to fight an enemy they could easily wipe from existence but are never allowed to fully: The Androids. Groups that deviate from the infinite war are destroyed. Pascal's village was slaughtered by the machines themselves to remove them. The machines probably corrupted the cult and caused them to murder each other too.

The greater purpose of the war is the creation of a twisted form of Natural Selection. Inferior machine cultures either get destroyed by Yorha or purged by their machine brothers. The Yorha are just unwitting tools to apply evolutionary pressure on the machine masses. The Yorha are always destined to lose in the end, but will always return stronger. In response the Machines must adapt.

On a weird tangent, I have to view how this intersects with my perspective on lying. Generally my preferred method of lying is to eventually fold the lie and the reality back together (like say, travelling back in time being okay so long as you eventually "fold" back into the same situation as the present.) so that the two are indistinguishable, which ultimately seems the oddest form of appearing. The purpose of the fold is to garuntee the structural integrity of the appearance, even if in turn it actually makes it reality to a degree. Very odd.

I'm close to my thirties and have been playing games nearly all my life. Here's what I've noticed. Gamers tend to be some of the dumbest mother fuckers ever.

The typical gamer waste no time in lining up to throw money at all the worse and least consumer friendly practices ever. The majority of them just buy whatever has the most hype behind it and has the newest graphics. Then even if the game sucks or isn't great it doesn't matter 'cause it at least looked pretty.

I can't explain the stupidity of gamers because I think video games are pretty great. But, something is sincerely fucked in the industry but as to what I've no clue.

For profit prisons also contribute to both, with other sectors of the economy like agriculture also benefiting from the practically free labor.

In both cases you have poor people with no way out of poverty turning to the only means at hand to do anything about their situations, and neither are due to their genetics, but everything to do with their environment, their economic prospects, and their profitability for those at the top.
