What's going on is that there's no fucking consistency to any of the rulings or how the moderation follows said rulings. Everything acts as a "whatever I don't like as a mod is spam or some other banal rule violation" while letting shitty fucking cuckchan raid threads go unchecked.
What's more, the more a thread is spammed, the more the moderation is likely to just ban the topic in general than to deal with the spammers and shitters.
Not only that, the moderation fucking goes out of the way to ban bystanders for no fucking reason.
The blatant fucking protectionism mark employes for the Nintendo brand is about as piss poor as the rest of it, but the final nail in the coffin was saying that the webm thread was videogames and the Aniki thread wasn't.

If you dump porn, even spoilered, you can be banned. The hard limit I had heard was a maximum 15 images in a row then it counts as a porn dump. I heard that a long time ago from a vol, so it's probably not a set standard. If you break up NSFW content dump with enough SFW content then no one seems to notice or care.

Personally, if I could ban "Thing I don't like" I would be kicking out the small but vocal group of faggots who consistently shit up threads with "traps" "boipucci" and other such mental illness, especially threads that were expressing anything hetero beforehand like they get triggered by heterosexuality and can't help themselves from fagging it up.

Basically what happened was that Mark wanted to sticky a Sonic thread and unsticky the game night thread for about an hour. OP and a few Anons got angry and we're shitting up the Sonic thread in retaliation, Mark then stickies both, anons weren't happy with it and we're continuously bitching about Mark, then Mark decided to unsticky and bumplock the thread for turning into a shit show, Mark and Anons got into a fight, Anons threatened him that they'll go to /vg/, Mark thought they were cuckchannners and told them to "go back" later in the thread Mark realizes he fucked up and banned him and everyone else for two hours and two guys for six hours. Now metafags are using this event as an excuse to spam /vg/ as a new home when Mark never did anything malicious other than ban a few people for two hours.

I think spammers are based for saving Holla Forums. Currently Holla Forums has about 5 posts a minute pph. It's very low for a board with so many users. If Holla Forums is to survive, it requires more people and with low pph people only move away. More pph = more activity = more new people! This should be the goal - to save Holla Forums by increasing its pph. However, mods are impeding on pph by constantly removing threads and banning random people. If your mods do not want Holla Forums saved, then why should your userbase care for them?
