Legend of Zelda

So in BotW, Ganon stopped reincarnating so his soul was destroyed in the end instead. It feels like Nintendo ran themselves into a corner with Ganon, how would he be brought back in the sequel? Shouldn't they make a sequel to Four Swords Adventures since Ganon was sealed in that game?

This is why localisation sucks. The original japanese script says he reincarnates into that mess because he hasn't given up on reincarnation.

user c'mon now.

The villain of the next zelda game will be Link

What is the canonical Zelda timeline?

The villain of the next zelda game will be Saria.

Evil Zelda

So don’t have Ganondorf as the enemy. Big fucking deal.

nigger are you high?

First post is correct. They fucked the translation.

Wait, does that mean he stopped reincarnating normally and attempted it anyway only to come back wrong?

Attached: DQ28JrNUQAs__9x[1].jpg (850x1200, 61.41K)

You're close, it's Dark Link.
Halfway through it's revealed the previous Link became a vampire or something and didn't die, which means your Link is technically not an incarnation of the true Link.

I'm sure they'll find a way to make a sequel. Hasn't stopped them before.

Seeing side-to-side, it doesn't seem like a localization but an error in translation

He gave up on reincarnating in his human non-monster form and simply let his rage and hate take over and became the massive out-of-control monster. At least that's how I interpreted it.

Link's Awakening and the Oracle games are direct sequels too.

Otherwise known as “literally every single line that is run through Treehouse”, yeah.

The Japanese translation makes it appear more than the reincarnation comes at a cost, like constantly photocopying the same page deteriorates the image. Consider that a lot of revivals of Ganon have him start in blue pig form and many have him just a mindless beast (Oracle, FSA, possibly AoL), he probably reached the limit to become merely some blob creature.

No, the other lines are faithful. Would you rather it be like Fates where almost every line is done like a doujin rewrite?

i just got the impression that he just gave up on full reincarnation back into his gerudo form or whatever and was using all his energy to kill link/zelda, not that he would never come back after this.

Actually we still have vati, and if they were smart, demise who cannibalizes giriham to come back. And an explanation as to why zelda, the sub goddess reincarnation loses the triforce that the 3 goddesses gave her for safekeeping would be nice.

You act as if Nintendo couldn't just bring him back and not care. Not like the next Zelda has to be in the same universe as the others.

It really is not user. Its actually different than what the another user says where its an error, but is still kinda shitty and does lose information. The best comparison is comparing "the cat is black" and "the cat was fat because he was black" the literal does not state why hes in the form, only what the form is, while the latter states why but thats only because treehouse think embelsing shit for extra sheckles is in their right.

Just so it's clear, Ganondorf has never reincarnated, except for in Four Swords Adventures which really shouldn't count as canon. The Ganondorf in Wind Waker and Twilight Princess are the same exact Ganondorf from Ocarina of Time, just in different timelines.

There was one more line, after the fight, that was slightly different between versions. If I recall, one of the versions was more final, the other more "he'll be back someday."

that is an extremely pedantic distinction. I think the point was to say fuck Nintendo Treehouse.

Both of them are basically the same. The Japanese doesn't actually say "for now," but it's definitely not saying that Ganon has been destroyed or that he'll never come back or anything. Also the Japanese says a *lot* more after that about what they have to do, and that's what the real focus of the line is.

It's something like
"The threat of the calamity has passed, but our duties still remain, as does the sorrow, which will never be forgotten."

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (1280x720 1019.47 KB, 950.08K)

Thats true, generally hes never killed just sealed.

Normally it's not, but in this case it's obvious that we can assume Malice.

Ah, thanks, wasn't bad like I had thought.

Attached: zelda1.jpg (992x1026, 107.13K)

How do you kill permanently Ganon then? Can he even kill himself? Do you have to destroy his soul or something? This fucker got stabbed through the skull, shot with an arrow, blown the fuck up but he always comes back, that is some advanced autism really.

On treehouse: They've been fucking stuff up for ages. This isn't new.
It's been a while since I've played it, but I remember in Wind Waker, one of the ghosts of the sages just straight up says "Ganondorf killed me so I ended up like this." In the English version, they twisted it around to "Ganondorf stole my soul," which makes no fucking sense because her soul is talking to you at that very moment. They also extremely fucked up a thing at the end where ganondorf quotes the triforce from a link to the past (i think, it's been a while), and they just generally rewrite NPC dialogue.

Ganon isn't a single entity, and he's not really a physical thing. It's Demise's pure butthurt manifesting in other people (though the only sure examples so far have been Ganondorf and whatever the fuck Calamity Ganon is). It will never go away until Hylia's bloodline is destroyed and Hyrule is destroyed completely.

Ganon is the reincarnated avatar of primal god that existed before Hyrule was even founded.
You can't really kill him, but you can kill the avatar. I guess the Wind Waker ending could be a kind-of solution, where Ganon isn't killed but turned to stone at the bottom of the ocean. Ganon doesn't reappear in that timeline, the sequel has a new enemy on a new continent (although the new kingdom they found is still named Hyrule in honour of the old one).

Why is English "localization" such shit?

There's dozens of theories on that, but I'm just gonna say that when Nintendo stops profiting from Zelda games

Which will be never

And that my friend, means they have hundreds of plans to always include Ganon. Him, Link, and Zelda are the Triforce of money for Nintendo.

Sounds like they didn't even play it, just translated the script.

I double checked that wind waker thing because I'm autistic
Original Japanese:
この神殿を襲い、私の命を奪い去りました
Translation:
He attacked this temple, and took my life
NoA "Translation" :
He attacked this temple and stole my soul
from these text dumps
zeldalegends.net/index.php?p=900

No, it literally says "he took my life." There is no other way to interpret it.

yes but even if it wasn't malice, the people involved in the "Localization team" is synonymous with "the Translation team". To say the Localizes fucked it up could still be a true statement even if it was just a technically a translation issue. Its the type of pedantic distinction only a weeab who spends too much time on tumbler would make.

Attached: zelda_by_splashbrush-d9xz5ke.jpg (1024x1628, 249.02K)

Wasnt that new enemy another reincarnation of Demise, which Ganon was as well?

The real question is, why is localization so much more shit now than they even were in the old days when they barely knew how to translate from Japanese properly?

it literally isn't

Back in the day you had an opening text scroll, a congratulations message at the end, and a sentence per towns person (if there were any). Most of the lore was relegated to the manual.
Games now have a lot more "story content" for better or worse (mostly worse) which allows these failed creators to cannibalise someone else's work to flex their own atrophied and malformed creative muscles.

Thats probably the best zelda design

It is implied but thats about it.

There isn't one; they just make shit up and then make more shit up, and then at one point they made even more shit up to try and organize all the shit they made up.

The true lore, right here.

Considering Spirit Tracks came out before Skyward Sword and the concept of Ganon's evil manifesting as anything other than Ganon, I'd be careful about jumping to any conclusions

There is a timeline, but they retroactively shoved spinoffs and games before the concept of a timeline into it. All of the 3D Zeldas very obviously are related to each other. Majora's Mask shows exactly what happens after Ocarina of Time to lead into it. Wind Waker opens with a cutscene that goes "After the hero killed ganon, he disappeared for some reason and hyrule got fucked and then this game happened." Twilight Princess doesn't directly state it, but it obviously takes place after Majora's Mask. Ganondorf was being executed because Link tattled on him when he returned to the past, the Skullkid guards the master sword because it's the one Link made friends with, etc. Skyward Sword was stated to be the "start" the entire time. The issue is when they made the official timeline, they didn't have the heart to tell people that their favorite zeldas weren't canon, so they shoved everything in somewhere, including the Capcom ones and four swords and stuff.

It's not worse than the old days, but companies like NISA are certainly trying to bring it back to that.

I believe he is confirmed killed at the end of Wind Waker. But timeline fuckery means they won't ever run out of Ganons.

Attached: 1445446018399-1.jpg (700x636, 102.79K)

I remember Xenoblade X's localization took forever because Treehouse and 8-4 were taking their time to get that overtime cash. Something about the more edits they do the more money they make? Don't have the sceeen shot on me.

Translation is a part of localization, so it would still be a localization error.

Is it specifically distinct from the concept of "soul" or just any kind of life energy, though? Considering that's the only difference between the two, it's very possible for someone to have seen the original and have misinterpreted is as "took my life force/spirit", unless the original Japanese word is entirely specific to just the act of living.

The phrase is common and in dictionaries and phrasebooks and stuff
ejje.weblio.jp/content/命を奪う

Yes, but that doesn't answer what I'm asking. Words can have many meanings, especially in English, and someone can easily interpret "take life" as soul stealing or something similar. This would be especially more likely if they didn't have a good grasp on the original language, which, if history has shown us anything, is more common in localization than it should be.

Revival and reincarnation are different. He is simply revived in every game up until Four Swords Adventures, which is the first one where he reincarnated. And that game doesn't exactly have much of a story to it. Do they even explicitly talk about Ganon reincarnating at all until Skyward Sword? He's just revived in every game except one obscure one anyway, so there isn't much point to it.

Demise was a mistake.

I don't mind seeing other villains.

That's hot.

Attached: Phantom_Saria.png (1650x1275, 1.24M)

Localization isn't worse, it's just that back then they had a better excuse for the fuck ups due to mere incompetence and that localization mattered far less. Nowadays, they are perfectly competent to deliver, have the full resources to do so, but simply won't, which in my opinion is worse, either due to:

Hylia and Demise ruins Zelda and Ganon as characters.

Attached: 37232870.jpg (1200x600, 336.74K)

The sequel should be a prequel to BOTW that takes place during the 100 years where Link is asleep. It would focus on an OC character of the player's creation teaming up with other players in Hyrule to keep the peace while the hero is gone. So basically BOTW meets DBZ Xenoverse, with more fun stuff to do in the open world like weapon crafting, fishing, POH, randomly generated dungeons both solo and multiplayer, increased variety in enemies and bosses, server wide super bosses, real time day/night cycle based on the server's timezone, yearly seasons, an offline story mode, exc.

heh

Artist?

In the Zoran domain there is a plaque that clearly states that the events of OoT happened before BotW, so OoT is confirmed canon.

No doubt Zelda stole her sacred Rod and she wants it back.

You could argue the localization team would be the editors and the translation team would be the translators. :^)

Call me a filthy shipmate if you want, but it was cute for the first few panels where Ganondorf was basically trying to force Zelda to rest during her pregnancy. Now that I see these two panels, what was the point anymore? You wanted to put your dirty shipfest on them, but then you turn it into an abusive relationship? I don't understand LBGT's anymore, they're so condescending.

one of these, I'm sure

Demise and Wind Waker are some of the worst things that has ever happened to a series lore. In fact its kind of impressive how quickly Nintendo went full retard with Zelda's timeline/lore when it was one of the most simplest stories in gaming.

Zelda didn't need to have lore when all the games were standalone titles with some nods here and there to other games. Nintendo's multiverse timeline bullshit was the worst thing to happen and anyone with a modicum of intelligence knows to ignore it. But then again
you don't seem to fall into that particular category.

So female Link when?

They were always connected, they even went out of their way to point out LTTP was a prequel when it didn't need to be if they were going the stand alone route.
Yeah as I said Wind Waker
Nobody cares faggot.

Evil sorcerer performs a ritual to resurrect Ganondorf. Ganondorf hijacks his body. There, done.

not in this time line.

Attached: malon6.jpg (500x500 42.68 KB, 59.17K)

If each Link is supposed to be a reincarnation of the previous one, then how do you explain the hero's shade in Twilight Princess? How can two Links meet?

timeline jumping

best girl won the link cup in that timeline.

The Hyrule Historia claims it's just a manifestation of an earlier Link's regret, not the Link himself. The HH is bullshit trying to make SS fit in, though.

Perhaps it's more like "Link" is a title and one is destined to become the hero who fights Ganon, but the actual soul is a different guy?

With a title like that, they where asking for it. How can I go spelunking and tomb raiding and not want to know about these temples.

He is talking to himself, and is able to talk to his past lives, or maybe its his dad or grand dad?. I always assumed Zelda mom always died when gving birth to the next Zelda since I thought it was also implied every Zelda princesses was suppose to be a reincarnation, but apparently a mom Zelda are noted to be a live for a little while before teaching the next Zelda ancient pass lives magic. Then they usually die somehow. because Goddess power or something.

Attached: 898.jpg (1200x1200 144.46 KB, 842.47K)

Didn't this happen before that, even before the poisoning?

Isn't that just BotW since the chamber the four swords is kept is under Hyrule Castle which is exactly where Calamity Ganon came up from.

He's not. There's a vague 'spirit of the hero' each is the inheritor of but that can often be interpretted as just sharing common traits re:heroism.
On top of that only SS Zelda is the reincarnation of the goddess the rest are just her descendants thus have "divine blood".
Demise reincarnates into Ganondorf who is also Ganon. He's regularly killed than resurrected, or sealed away and breaks out so ultimately just the same guy always but one time between TP and FSA he reincarnates again into a Gerudo male.

It was more like a one horse race.

I was under the impression that Wind Waker time line didn't have any trace of the hero. Which is why he was so expressive since he doesn't have fear immunity.

how about they bring midna back (in her imp form) so we can impregnate her

They did and it was in a shitty warriors game. The only character that was any good that the franchise hasn't raped yet is Linebeck.

Hence why it's not reincarnation.
I wouldn't say that. The dude chases after a giant bird off a cliff when his sister is kidnapped.

Well to be fair he wasn't aware a cliff was even there. He was just focused on his sister.

It doesn't matter. It's not important, the story in zelda games has never mattered, they design the game and put a story on over the top once they're done just to keep autistic fans in a spin as they try to put it together on the series timeline. It's all a big joke.

This. Occasionally the story isn't to bad like WW or certain aspects of TP but on the whole the "story" in zelda is usually better told through the ambiance and architecture in the temples/land.

While the story isn't important in the narrative sense, especially between games, it's definitely been important in establishing the tone and setting of the games, and it's led to some rather memorable moments, like Ganondorf wistfully thinking back to when he first started to desire Hyrule.

Death means absolutely nothing in that universe.

Attached: delorean-dmc-12-06.jpg (4428x2940, 1.24M)

The official timeline is that at some point in the early 2000s, the developers stopped giving a fuck about the timeline. The fans, however, demanded that the developers come with a way to connect all of the games because "muh lore" so they invented the half-assed timeline seen here>>14508581. Some say that there's an alternate timeline where the fans didn't care about the Zelda timeline and just enjoyed the games for the fairy tale adventures they were, but as of right now there's no substantial evidence to support that theory.

Attached: 456345643.png (637x478, 437.45K)

Yeah and some point soon, the fans will be 'forget muh lore' , just do a reboot like every comic book/film series does now.

I still want my Zelda game where Zelda is presented as the enemy. Link would grow up in the Gerudo society alongside his friend and eventual King Ganondorf, ultimately becoming his closest advisor. In the midst of attempting to to broker an alliance between the Gerudo and Hylians, there is an attempt on Ganondorf's life by a Sheikah assassin. Link becomes a prime suspect of being involved because of his race, and is pursued by Ganondorf. Then the ending reveals that the assassination attempt was part of a greater conspiracy planned by not only Zelda and the Sheikah, but sympathizing Gerudo who understand that Ganondorf is the king of evil, in order to get Ganondorf and Link to turn on each other because only Link can seal Ganon. Both of them realize this by the time they fight each other, but they also understand at the same time that the are doomed to fight each other regardless of how close they are.

It's not gay. It's just two dudes who are brothers in all but blood that get torn apart by their diverging destinies. Instead of some crossdressing faggot, Link would be a Gerudo raider. It'd have a greater emphasis on horse combat by having polearms, fast beasts, and mounted bokoblins posses. There'd also be a Gerudo party hunting you down after the assassination attempt, so if you'd stay in one place too long they'd catch up and try to kill you.

Would actually be interesting if Saria returned as a minor villain, or as an evil forest spirit tormented by jealousy and abandonment that's implied to be Saria, but considering her sage status, that's probably unlikely since it results in that weird emotionless infinite wisdom.

Too bad Nintendo will never have the balls to make Zelda a villain outside of instances where she's possessed by Ganon or someone else like in TP or ST. Or better yet, an option to fuck her back to the side of good

Attached: Breath of the Rape.mp4 (960x540, 15.82M)

Not only do those events sound incredibly illogical, it's trying way too hard to be different from other Zelda games and way too hard to be tragic. And the being hunted aspect really seems to conflict with the whole open exploration aspect of the series.

WHAT SORCERY IS THIS?

Attached: Legend of Zelda - Memes of the Wild.webm (854x480, 7.72M)

Satan's right. They went to the trouble with the Hyrule Historia (during the development of Skyward Sword) to create a timeline for fans and then when they made the next game they themselves admitted they did not take the timeline in to consideration, they just made whatever they felt like without considering any continuity. They did reference previous games, suggesting it takes place in the future of those titles (Skyward, Time, Twilight) but they could just be considered nods and winks to fans instead of trying to establish some king of shit retarded continuity.
The Legend of Zelda should just be a story that is told and retold after generations, and the story changes with the telling.
How many versions of King Arthur are there? Plenty. We all know the main characters and the basic plot, but different tellings can be good or bad depending on what they do with the core material. Zelda should be the same. It should be treated as a malleable legend, not as a solid continuity.

I'd prefer an option to fuck the virgin and mind-break her in to being my evil villain queen to be honest family.

Attached: zelda.jpg (1280x1920 128.16 KB, 320.18K)

I'm fine with either honestly as long as it involves princess rape.

The hero's shade was inside him all along.

Can I just say I'm just as tired of hearing this nonsensical stance as I am people holding the timeline to such high regard. Many of the games DO refer to past games, Zelda 2 is a DIRECT sequel for fuck's sake. Really the only games with enough in common to be seen this way are Link to the Past and Twilight Princess.

Here's my idea for a new Zelda game. Link just goes to a new kingdom. That's it. He just explores somewhere that's not Hyrule.

Just like Majora's Mask. It is very interesting to explore new places that isn't Hyrule as most games were.

Go read The Silent Kingdom you fags, I would accept it as a legitimate zelda script to be honest.

Not really no. The tone is better explained through the dungeon ambiance and enemy types. And "memorable moments" quantifies to maybe 2% of the franchise and its cut scenes. I would rather the devs focus on gamelay rather than story. Otherwise we get more SS and BoTW garbage.

...

Is BOTW the best Zelda ever?

No, nigga.

Yeah, stories in Zelda has never been the series' strongpoints, I don't know why some people are putting Zelda as some sort of rich-narrative game like Final Fantasy or Mass Effect. It is just like its older brother Mario where gameplay is the one that rules. It is probably due to Skywars Sword where Nintendo fucked it up when they enforced it to became a story-driven game.

Hmm…

Is the second image supposed to be a close up of an STD or something?

I think it was obvious from the ending that Ganon wasn't destroyed for good, only sealed away (again). I just hope that they make a more experimental project akin to Majora's Mask based on BOTW's engine.

In all honoesty though, I have not really enjoyed a Zelda game myself since spirit tracks which I admittedly played through in a single weekend. Skyward Sword was colossal shit however by the end of it, I at least appreciated the shenanigans of Groose.

Zelda is one of those games that seems to attract a colossal ammount of soy boys here in the west. So while I have fond memories of playing through Majoras Mask and Twilight Princess as a child, I am not exactly inclined to make my enjoyment of the series publicly known.

The game design has really not aged all that well in my eyes and the lore is admittedly shallow as it was never intended to be anything more complex than a childrens game. Despite this however, people seem to have this view of Zelda lore as being deep or whatever. Any of you ever tried to look at a Zelda “lore” video on youtube?

No, but it's the best of the worst

Attached: JST.jpg (908x703, 59.94K)

Obviously the direct sequels are an exception to the rule. You'd have to be a literal retard (who literally takes things literally in all circumstances like an autist) to think otherwise. Zelda 1 and 2 are linked. Oracles and Link's Awakening are linked. MM and OOT are linked. But the retelling of the core story (Link, Ganon, Zelda) is simply a retelling.

Pic related.

Why do Gerudos have pointy ears in BotW when they have round ears elsewhere?

I remember when fans try to come up with "theories" on the identity of the fierce deity. Meanwhile, I always thought that the soul of the fierce deity was the combined memories of everyone in Termina and that the mask is made from combining all the masks after they were given to the moon children.

That's the Hylian genes they've been impregnated with over the centuries.

Yeah thats about right. However autism be damned, so people came up with the idea that its Terminia’s version of Link.

Game design, that or they have been blandaing up with the hylians for years.

Big question is, where the fuck is that male gerudo that was supposedly born once in a hundred years?

That's a good question.

That's silly, considering Termina's Link is clearly Kafei.

Probably a trap.

That would require the game devs to link the worlds and that would mean lorefags would shit bricks.

Pretty sure they just trap him in stone beneath the waves.

How long until they finally just go full SJW and make it a stronk womyn game?

...

Fuck you are actually right

I think that they only did that in OoT. Wasnt the case in MM or TP. Gannondorf may be “gerudo” but only in that he is the Gannon that was sealed away in OoT.

Would be interesting to see Ganon reincarnate as a female gerudo.

Rule 63 out

Best I could find.

Attached: b9b3fdee3e8d7470e6781fee9140fd38.png (1000x2000 1.55 MB, 656.27K)

(double dubs checked)

There were no Gerudo in MM, only pirates, and all the Gerudo in TP are dead, with the one exception of Ganondorf. The thing is, none of the games with living Gerudo take place long enough after OoT for another male to be born. BotW is the first game where it can be called into question.

To what pic?

Saying "gomen, gomen" can imply a "haha, sorry, forgive" kind of meaning depending on the context so I can let that one slide. The rest of what is says isn't really what the subs say, of course. It's more along the lines of saying/implying shit isn't square, and if that's the case then they should do something about it. He thinks about what to do, says "I see". All of it is in the same vein of not being quite right up until that laugh turning into a complete line.

In fact, there is one more in that Comic OP add. But, I think she went too "realistic" in her version.
There are also these other two. But, so many female cosplayers, amazing.

Anyways, I think the only Zelda that would interest me now would be something akin to Hyrule Warriors, as in a third party that could shake the whole cycle of Hyrule. Maybe some new gods or goddesses into the mix too.

Attached: tumblr_p0ch8uEygw1tfb26yo1_1280.jpg (1280x728 447.2 KB, 301.66K)

Telma, the tavern owner in TP, is a Gerudo. Maybe not a pure blood, but definitely a descendant. Same skin, hair, and make-up, even the outfit is Gerud-ish.

Attached: zelda telma.jpg (1778x2619, 1.15M)

I recall a Gerudo town NPC mentioning that males do exist, although they are rare. In OoT the tradition was to automatically make the male Gerudo the king but they don't do that anymore probably since Ganondorf fucked everything up

Ewww. Tell me she isn't 2 steps away from an ugly nigress.

Breath of the Wild is the best Zelda game to date tbh.

No it's not. But if they fix everything wrong with it in the sequel, then maybe that game will be.

All of the designs for Twilight Princess are fucking ugly compared to the N64 Zeldas. It's the same artist too.

Attached: Fyer.png (923x2000 443.15 KB, 405.8K)

It's deranged-looking, but at least it's unique. And the only looks anyone cares about are Midna's anyway.

t. nintendrone

How else do you think an all-female subspecies of human would remain genetically distinct for several generations? Their children are always Gerudo.

A person with their asshole and their mouth switched, who ate by sitting on food and vomited shit from their face, could also be called unique.

I can't even fathom how TP got released with abominations like that in it. And it's not just a select few, EVERYONE looks like that. What the fuck were they thinking? I never even finished that game because it was so awful to look at.

Only Link and Zelda are the only Hylians that look good, the rest are so fucking weird.

Attached: link tp.jpg (1920x1080 138.98 KB, 140.75K)

What are the lewdest outfits available in that?

That was the guy that gave you the gerudo outfit.

Well there's always the select few…

I want to procreate and make strong mountain children with her

Even the japs appreciate the undeniable beauty of the Aryan phenotype.

Fish are lewd.

Attached: loli_ruto_footjob.png (850x1250 1.96 MB, 227.91K)

And how many times has that happened? Ocarina of Time clearly happens in the backstory of Link to the Past. Wind Waker clearly happens in the future of Ocarina of Time. Skyward Sword clearly happens in the history of Twilight Princess. Really the closest you ever get to just redoing the story with no direct connections is Link to the Past, but that's the one people argue about the last.

The only games that take place after Link to the Past do not contain the Master Sword. Maybe the Oracle games but it's an optional item (and IIRC one that's pretty difficult to get) so you can just consider collecting it not canon to those games.

What is "A Link Between Worlds"?

Attached: SmashLeaks.jpg (1024x768, 134.01K)

A Link Between Worlds does but ALBW backstory is some weird mix of OoT, LTTP and some Ganon fight that happens in between LTTP and ALBW with no game. Between ignoring the story and the gameplay differences I don't know why they bothered with all this LTTP2 stuff.

Attached: eyes up here.png (800x926, 369.13K)

You mean ganon?

Loli Ruto is best fish.

Yes.
No. Tenderly love them.

His point is that BotW takes place a full century after the calamity that nearly killed Link. A new male Gerudo should have been born in that time, if the whole thing about Gerudo kings still applied.

>There hasn't been a Male Gerudo since 'Dorf because either he's not completely dead yet (so the soul can't go to a new body), or when he does get killed, there aren't any Gerudo left in the world to create a new baby
< ~But that's just a theory~ :^)

Is Patlabor actually worth watching? I can't figure out how much of this shit I'm supposed to sit through to get to the Oshii movies that I'm really interested in.

Of course they are, it's because they're always wet

Pic related is the most over rated Zelda game

What would the most underrated be? The Adventure of Link?

I don't know, I remember journalists giving TP 9s and shit, when it came out.

Four Swords Adventures.

I remember TP getting something very close to 9.

...

I have a sneaking suspicion that they kept content out of BOTW for DLC.

Spirit Tracks, Four Swords or maybe Wind Waker. Majoras Mask is fucking great however it suffers from alot of the same bullshit combat issues that Ocarina does, along with the fact that every single person on this planet and their dog has played MM.

Two bombs weren't enough.

Trying to remove a tumor when it's metastasized is not how you can even come close to removing the cancer you moron. A third bomb would have zero effect on what was just posted.

Well yes, it was basically the game that ruined Zelda.

No shit.

Past tense, ninny.

Cause and effect is not your forte, is it?

They can't make anime if they're all dead.

BotW is the vest Zelda game so far. Oot hasn't been "the best game" since TP came out.

Nigger, BOTW is by far the worst Zelda game. Maybe if you are a normalfag who likes generic Open world shit, but for anyone with taste BOTW isn't even a good game.

Blow your fucking brains out, queer.

So what suspicion would that be? The fact that the Hero’s Path mode doesn’t start from when you buy the DLC, but from when YOU STARTED THE GAME because THE FEATURE IS ALREADY BUILT IN AND A SINGLE LINE OF CODE HAD A FLAG CHANGED FROM FALSE TO TRUE? What could have possibly tipped you off?

what game?!

Zelda, you doofus.

Dude.

Best Zelda game is Link to the Past, if you don't think so, it's because you're a faggot who was born late into the 90s and think 3D makes anything good.

Attached: you're_a_fag.gif (413x192, 1.29M)

You misspelled Links Awakening

Hyrule Warriors for Switch

I haven't unlocked all of them in Legends, but they get true Midna's outfit, which is pretty lewd.

Otherwise known as “Americans”, by law. Fuck the hell off.

Nigga please, is not close to being the best but far from being the worst.

I meant BOTW

I kinda like it tbh.
Matches the dark aesthetic of the game. Fucked up world, fucked up people. 's not supposed to look nice.

I disagree with what you're saying, but the way you said it was fucking hilarious.

Honestly BoTW is maybe 1 point better out of ten compared to SS.

That is just a ridiculous excuse for people not to see how ugly the models really are and it does not match shit, I am not so sure why Nintendo at that time would throw away the cel shading like they did with WW when the style of that game worked with its cartoony appeal and expressive characters. In TP, humans are an eyesore to see at them.

Attached: train.jpg (255x222, 10.64K)

Clown on the right looks like he's seen some pretty nasty shit.

how quaint

Attached: 9875647634496.png (840x764, 772.28K)

Zelda and the Midnas and that knight girl look amazing when compared to other characters in that game. Even Link looked weird in TP. I just want another game in the style of ALTTP and ALBW.

It got a ton of 9s and 10s and the hype around it was insane.

Speaking of, no , OoT is a much better game then TP. TP is the most overrated Zelda.

meant to reply to

I never played TP at launch, and only played it via emulator years after release. You have my agreement that TP was abhorrently overrated. I wouldn't call it bad, but it's far from the gem people claim it to be.

The only Link that had a soul. The only Zelda that the player wanted to rescue. Fun combat, cool gizmos. Your friends haven't been dead for 100 fucking years. Final boss wasn't the same old shit rehashed.

minish cap

Which final boss do you mean by that?

And in my post I was talking about BOTW, not SS.

It literally is, per Aonuma, the combined memories of everyone on Termina whose lives are threatened by the Moon falling. It's Link channeling pure emotional self-preservation to fuck up the thing that's about to genocide the entire country, and I find that ten times cooler than it just being Link's Termina duplicate or some other similar nonsense. zeldadungeon.net/aonuma-answers-more-majoras-mask-questions-explains-whose-soul-is-inside-th/

I was under the impression the Twili were not-so-subtly the descendants of the banished Gerudo.

Skyward Sword had its cool moments but the slog of an intro, overexcited and undercharacterized helper, and generally strict straightforward path made it impossible for me to replay. Groose is great but he can't carry that entire game himself.

8.8 only gets more hilarious as time goes on and everyone agrees that TP is one of the worst 3D Zeldas.

Attached: overtly lewd.gif (300x314, 4.67M)

Link is a soulless self-insert character anyway.

This guy's a fag. Getting weapons is easy and you get new ones all the time from shrines and high-tier enemies, I've often found myself with too many weapons and not enough guys to kill with them, and hoarding the good shit defeats the purpose of having the good shit to begin with, this isn't some RPG where you have to save your best healing items for a boss fight, just stop being a pussy and hit shit. I always have my shield capacity maxed out as well because I get even more of those than weapons and they wear out a lot less fast, and they don't lose durability when surfing on snow and sand.

The shrine puzzle quality is questionable, though, and the enemy variety is total shit, I'll give him that. That's what I'm hoping they'll fix in the next installment. No Darknuts nor Iron Knuckles is bullshit. No Wallmasters (and no real dungeons to put the Wallmasters in). No Bombchus. No Bubbles. Nothing new at all sans the Guardians. Next game had better double or even triple the kinds of enemies there are.

Things I want next game

What did he mean by this?

...

Nintendo doesn't give a fuck about canon, and each game is its own disconnected story. Just because someone at Nintendo made a "timeline" in a fit of autism doesn't mean that the Zelda team is beholden to it.

16 in all, that sounds reasonable so long as they're all unique from each other. I also hope the Deku come back but there's an overlap between them and the Koroks and Octoroks so I can understand their absence. Also bring back Skultullas while we're at it. And gibdos/redeads, I want some proper spooky zones to fill with skeletons and ghosts and spiders and mummies. Hell, give me an entire Ikana again.

I think the lack of proper dungeons is to blame. Every Zelda dungeon tends to have unique enemies for it, but BotW only had regions with enemies shoved in them (and recolored Lizalfos). It's one of the problems that makes the game feel too samey.

Underwater sections could be good too, if they can handle detailing all that ocean floor.

Oh, and Like-Likes, but upgrade them to eat both your shields AND your weapons. Just the ones you're holding though.

BRAVO NINTENDO

what if zeldo was a grill

Strange, I can't think of a single western game that presents royalty, apart from medieval strategy games, it's all coming from Japan.

This is some high-tier faggotry.

Classic enemies from Zelda 1 that weren't in BOTW and should be in a sequel:
None of them should be reused as dungeon bosses, but some can be overworld minibosses.

I wouldn't mind that if I got to play a thick assed zelda and could change outfits like in BOTW while going on adventures. And leave the feminism out of the game as well. True ending could be saving links soul and settling down and getting married

Attached: 63b78a1a7d86fdef31b6c726bd615974.jpg (300x375, 30.37K)

Even if they re-used these exact designs, I'd be up for that.

Link really needs to fuck Zelda in canon. Without that Link just keeps becoming the gayest thing since gay came to gay town, and that's coming from someone who voluntarily has sex with other men.

Attached: 94629d5d52f38289a09c38507bfbb1978654c27f4e3aaa70cd28700a5a74332d.jpg (500x500, 31K)

Suicide bomb a gay bar, queer.

He can't fuck Zelda. That will ruin all the fantasies of his fujoshits.

What he needs to do is fuck someone other than Zelda, so that everyone will be equally outraged.

Attached: Ganondorf link Bow.jpg (700x514, 89.33K)

...

In a way I'm glad. You really want Nintendo dealing with a story rich game like that? They would cuck it to earth and back with the translations. Treehouse would probably hint that they were both gay for each other or something.

And that's just part of the problem. What's the point of having weapons degrade quickly, with no way to repair them, if the game just gives you so many, that you can't hold them all? Why should I feel any sense of reward, when I find a weapon, if it won't last all that long and is entirely replaceable?

OK, here's how to fix the damn thing:
Fucking make it so there is a repairing mechanic, either Link himself manning the forge, with help from some guy or alone, or just paying for the use of forges.
Fucking make it so each time you reforge a weapon to increase its durability, part of the damage *and* durability goes out the window, if you reforge it with Link's starting ability or the blacksmith cheapest option to repair the weapon.
Fucking make it so there is a progression system that unlocks making sharpening stones to use on reforged equipment to bring it to the old glory, though you need not craft the fuckers, just farm them from the leaders of each enemy encounter and bosses roaming around. The unlock teaches Link how to use it on the go, a bit like the sharpening of blades on Monster Hunter.
Fucking make it so a hard as fuck to get material can be used to basically Guilded Blade whatever weapon is of your fancy, so it lasts forever while becoming sharp by use faster.
Finally, fucking make it so weapons aren't showered on you at every step of the way, and have an inventory system that limits shit around. Also, add the way to buy weapons, you'd think those would be the drive of the economy of a Hyrule filled to the brim with fucking monsters that make trade routes dangerous and such. You could even gate the merchant that sells you X weapon to a side quest each time so you don't originally just have the option to pop a sword and make the beginning of the game retain the original's feeling of weakness and shit, that makes for an even greater payoff when you've basically outgrown being a wimpy sleeping beauty one shot by retarded blue bokoblins.

sage for correction, my idea is that reforging is done with items on different tiers so easy reforgings gimp the weapon's original power more than more "refined" reforgings, and Guilded Blade weapons last forever but go blunt (lower damage) earlier, not slower as I originally said.

Am I wrong, or is Skyward Sword's ending basically implied to be an Adam and Eve scenario?

Attached: 27492778_big_p1.jpg (600x500, 204.85K)

What if new Gerudo male has a new soul that isn't Demise and he left his tribe after finding out his ancestor is Ganondorf. I could see this scenario but with outlaws instead of Gerudo. Also I want a Zelda game's theme to be breaking the law. Plus Link could have an interesting background. I can see Link being a bastard of a dead royal knight and a noble rogue that can see fairies who lost everything in her name and was raised by thieves. I doubt Nintendo will make Zelda pure evil, but she can be an obstacle you have to overcome even if her intent is noble.

This

Think it was all but said.

And clown on the left looks like he's done some nasty shit… to the other clown ass

Link and Zelda smooch behind the curtain at the end of Zelda 2 which is at the end of that particular branch of the timeline, effectively closing the loop started with SS.

You're breaking my heart, user.

Heart definitely broken. Seek medical assistance immediately.

Dudes being gay with each other in their youth is a common theme in Japanese history/literature though. They're supposed to mature and grow out of it when they get older though.

Pretty much, yeah. Link and Zelda "founded" the kingdom of Hyrule and populated the fuck out of it.

Attached: zelda botw 2 (2)

So their children had sex with each other and populated Hyrule?

hmm (((who))) else has records of doing such a thing before

WA ZERUDO!

There is no timeline. Just look at title: it's a legend so there are many versions so gooks can sell new console.

Ganondord had the best character development in Wind Waker.

Attached: 4f7afaf53e4857f49e55fb99bcdc60481e16aac7_hq.jpg (905x264, 30K)

That's not really character development. Development means he changed. That's more just expanding on his motivations.

not if the goddesses can help it

Still better than his character in Ocarina of Time which can best be summed up as *evil laugh*

...

It would have been nice if they had expanded on how he served the king. It's hard to see how the king actually trusted him, as it is.

Die in a fire faggot and everyone who draws Link as effeminate. When I was young I was grabbing girls ass left and right. Stop promoting this faggot behavior.

Attached: Normalfags.png (1600x900, 2.92M)

Well then I'm really glad they didn't do it then.

That's all he needed tbh. You were a kid after all. I doubt the game bringing in sophisticated political power grasping would have been very fun.

They had perfect dna so there was no genetic errors to cause any problems

That's not how DNA works.

So was Link and look what's happened to him now.

It worked out for Adam and Eve

Well, I can't argue with that.

Attached: big dick is back in town.png (775x850, 14.77K)

To watch the movies you only need to watch the original 7 episode OVA. However you should watch TV show and the second OVA, that's based on the TV continuity, at some point as well. With the exception of the live action movie, everything with the Patlabor name on it is top tier.

Attached: Samus puking.gif (357x238, 2.2M)

This is the only Zelda title I've played other than a bit of Tingle's rupees one. I really don't get why people are so much into this series outside of the waifufags, it just feels like one of those 2deep4u only 90's kids' experiences that is just well seen because of rose tinted nostalgia goggles. I mean, at least as far as OoT goes.
Though I need to say, the only good designs for Link are the cartoonish one from Wind Waker and the old "Western-styled" adventurous elf of A Link to the Past.

Is it just me, or did the japs actually take notes from the animated series for later Zeldo titles?

That'd be Majora's Mask.

Closest thing we got to that was Spirit Tracks. Zelda gets turned into a spirit and has to possess armor to help Link. The game also takes an opportunity to lampoon what the Zeldas of every game have usually done:

They paint this Zelda as being a bit selfish… kind of how you'd actually expect a princess to be. Which makes it more endearing when she actually ends up helping Ling defeat monsters and is happy about it.

Attached: Characters_(Spirit_Tracks).png (1000x1343, 934.02K)

The DS games really did have the best characters and story in a Zelda game. Linebeck being such a good character that had to give him a cameo in the second game.

Nigga that leads to inbreeding

Only sometimes should they get together.

Official "who Link fugged once the credits rolled" list

< Zelda
< Zelda (different Zelda, this one had been in a magic coma since forever and was the origin story for the original "Legend of Zelda" and why the name gets passed down, it got retconned though and I hate it)
< Each one of the seven maidens
< Marin (in human form, he comes in her ass, she keeps in the semen inside until she's a seagull, then poops it out, that's why bird poo is white)
< The dancing twins (TWINS!)
< Linebeck
< Hilda (Ravio was too much of a pussy to dick the royalty in desperate need)
< Everyone but Zelda, who was forced to watch in ghost form without a physical body. She got cucked repeatedly, until she learned to possess the bodies of the women Link was fucking, at which point Link would hit on a woman who would turn him down, Zelda would possess them and give in herself in Link in someone else's body, and Link would rape the body of the unwilling woman, while Zelda was really in to it, and hearing the soul of the woman cry out as she turned ahaego from the possession fucking)

Sounds legit.
I mean hell it would get over the whole inbreeding shit if Link fucked Zelda in Wind Waker.
