/ogc/ Raging Game General - Custom Mods Edition

Last thread is on page 14, so lets talk about how racing games don't have enough crazy mods.

It seems the only time we get lots of mods for racing games is when they're for sims that lack content on their own. I want more crazy shit modded into my racing games.

I just got Midnight Club LA: Complete Edition what should I do to make my first time playing it a great experience?

Fuck your car

Kart racers are racing games right?

Attached: MarioKart8_PEGI3.png (456x642, 548.48K)

Don't upgrade your car if you want easier races, or upgrade often for harder races. The way the AI car upgrading and rubber banding works is by scaling generically with your car's level of performance upgrades. Basically the more you upgrade it, the more the AI will stick on your ass and make crashes more punishing. It's really weird. maybe they patched it or changed it with the complete edition but it pissed me off when U first got the game.

Is Smash Bros a fighting game?

Its not just a racing game. Its the king of racing games.

Attached: 11v7bfb.jpg (529x403, 28.39K)

You say that like it hasn't inspired fucktons of debate.

Nintendo are king of every genre they try. Splatoon pretty much revolutionised the third person shooter genre.

Are there any games that let me race on dirt roads in the deep South in 1930s Fords running shine from the law down to Atlanta?

I'm willing to bet this is an untapped gold mine

is the new Forza any good?

...

No.

Enthusia Professional Racing was the best racing game on the sixth console generation, and yet the most viewed Youtube video of it has just 45,000 views. It sold so low its' sale numbers aren't even documented despite launching in all three territories. It never got a sequel, and contemporary reviews were lukewarm at best. It came out the same day as the original Forza did on the Xbox. But it blows GT4 out of the water when it comes to driving physics, and despite the car count being a fraction of Polyphony's masterpiece, its selection blows that out of the water too. The Alfa SZ, the 80s Spider QV, the Aston DB5, the Austin-Healey Sprite, the BMW M1, the 3.0 CSL, the E30 M3 Evo and that's just the first two letters of the alphabet.

There are features to this day that racing games since have been unable to replicate. The realistic automatic transmission, for example. Instead of an AI-controlled MT like it is in 99% of other racers, this game actually uses a throttle-based gear selector as it would in real life.

You don't know what a racing game is until you've played Enthusia at least once in your life. None of you know.

Nintendo are making a major profit for a reason you butthurt simautist.

It's actually an improvement on the fighting game genre.

It's criminal just how much that game was ignored. I remember seeing the "trailer" showing off how good the suspension was in Enthusia and having my mind blown. Compared to the stiff Gran Turismo 3 physics (I don't think 4 was out yet), it looked like it was an entire generation ahead.

I hate simshit, but I also hate retarded faggots like you who think generic mario garbage is better than anything. It's not even the best kart racer. CTR has that title because it has solid mechanics and no shitty gimmicks.
Now fuck off.

You weebs need to leave.

i like dis gaem

...

Technically you're racing the humans.

Great post user.

I really enjoyed My Summer Car until my savefile glitched or something and now it shits itself trying to load. What other vehicular games have I slept on?

Attached: MSC.jpg (1280x722, 130.11K)

Onrush gameplay.

it looks… boring?
Empty roads, easy "bump-into-someone-to-kill"
Maybe I will give it a pirate when it comes out, but I'm not hyped right now

I hope I can disable those shitty voices though. It also needs the terrain types from Motorstorm and dirt effects on cars back too.

That seems to be the team deathmatch race gamemode they said they were doing, where you and your team can easily destroy AI vehicles for points or fight each other, which probably won't be as easy.
Wait a minute that sounds kinda like a moba

It's just…Overwatch with cars.
It even has lootboxes.

Attached: 138.gif (259x214, 760.16K)

The roads seem too wide? Also, not a fan of the HUD. It's awful.

So we got a surprise update with (sigh) yet more dripfeeding. But fuck me is this car selection godlike:

Attached: Vapid_GB200.jpg (1920x1080 1.57 MB, 389.17K)

Wut gaym. It's not Payback is it? I heard some cars are timed unlock events.

Attached: 9b545f981836191e6d24521c50e0825af9b542ab9aa62497190a8e46a9bb94f0.png (382x417, 238.09K)

Yeah, it looks Meh/10. I do sort of like the idea of several rounds taking place over the course of a single race, that's kinda neat.

It's GTAV. You can tell because those are knockoffs and not the real world cars. Upside is that the cars are free and you can use a trainer to mess with them in single player. Downside is that it's GTAV.

Ah, lame.

MK 8 Deluxe is not as bad as everyone says it is.

Yes

With that out of the way, I heard that Forza 7 is a thing. Did I miss something? When did these guys release Forza 6?

Attached: green shell.mp4 (1280x720, 8.39M)

Wrong.

Attached: ClipboardImage.png (388x718, 149.54K)

Both of them are okay. I bet you would get your ass kicked hard if you tried a round of "baby's first fighting game".

Attached: Yoshi vs Fox.webm (889x500, 6.47M)

...

They released 6 in 2015. They're set to release Horizon 4 this year and Forza 8 next year. Shit gets pumped out fast since each studio only has a 2 year dev time.

Blood drive is a thing (not that great but it exists)

Anyways I got done playing NFS:Payback and it's Fun

They improved the physics over '15 (not hard but appreciated) and you can fine tune the cars to drive like how you like (it doesn't give descriptions far as I know so it's kinda run things to the end of the slider ans see what you like best)

Maybe it's because I could actually get my hands on Customization but over all I'm happy with it. It clearly caters to stancefags, but you can do up cars in a pretty reasonable manner.
But Vinyl editing is surprisingly limited. There's no options to copy paste vinyls (there is a duplicate function but it's only barely a stop gap, at least there's a copy to the other side function (except you have to go through it with one vinyl at a time). Also no Vinyl grouping like Forza which I sorely miss. And Midnight Club LA remains the only one to feature a negative feature for some reason.

But the biggest downfall of customization is that they have copied "The Crew" for performance modding with card system you need to grind out. There's also an RNG aspect in that the parts can have a "Perk" and if you get three of the same kind of part (and apparently double if you have all the smae parts) makes it annoying to upgrade shit. Nothing for handling and Brakes are tied to perks so you may need to give up better parts to be able to just fucking stop.

On the topic of shit stolen from "The Crew" there's stupid little challenges all over the place you can do. They unlock some customization features (thankfully for all the cars) but unless you're online and can get the lootboxes for gaining levels and doing them, there's no real point after unlocking the customization options. Also Bait crates that just start a police chase sprint.

The car selection is nice (and the abandoned cars that you need to be online for are neat too but can't get them on the pirated version), but due to never really making all that much money you'll probably stick with Derelicts since you can pick them up for free. It's what I did anyways.

Game also has some nice fan service with call backs, especially to Prostreet I got a bit hyped when Aki Kimura showed up as a boss. Not enough to be intrusive I feel.

The story is simple, but perhaps TOO simple. The Main Character does shit that doesn't make sense in the beginning, then just transitions to being bland "I'm gonna win" hero. The other people on his side are thankfully better. But they still go along with his very narrow revenge plan of getting back at Nigger Bitch.
Despite people pointing to the much more credible threat of "The house" who she works for. They more or less go "Nooo, I wanna take down Nigger bitch, I don't wanna bust up the bet rigging ring who she works for and as such would get back at her hardcore". And their plan is to win the big race she's rigged. Which involves self driving cars more or less and the things that shuts down cars from 2 Fast 2 Furious. And in the end Nigger Bitch only gets her comeuppance from her boss the Collector. There's some sequel bait, roll credits. Basically don't think about it or you'll have but in more effort the the writer.

Also despite dicksucking Prostreet, they didn't fix it's issue of being able to do whatever once you complete the story, or have a mycars mode so post game is all about grinding to make cars pretty. No one has a modded save file that works with pirated copys or a full version of the trainer would they?

I got Burnout Paradise Remastered

I never played the original.

It's okay

Play Burnout 3.

I want to but I can't emulate and I don't have a pPS2anymore.

Attached: slap.mp4 (476x360, 1.37M)

Call me when someone that isn't EA makes an arcade racer that is even 1/red the game Burnout is. I'll gladly throw all of my money at them.

Attached: e6bc9735edf7b6a1b8e5eedf5df95009626c6cc36f71a548529228b18bb1679e.jpg (244x255, 14.81K)

Call me when Paradise stops being garbage. If you had gotten 3 or Revenge then maybe I would have been less disgusted, but instead you chose to give EA money for a re-release of the worst burnout.

Attached: 386657e9ccc0807fed6513a8f49bfa76ff6a24363eb127dd966567b3ae4830bc.png (274x403, 195.81K)

The worst Burnout is Revenge. Crash mode was needlessly complicated compared to 3, and the cars lacked personality with names like R3 Work 7-Z and stuff. Not that Dominator didn't have the same problem with their cars.

And then add an ENB and mod the DLC into

Worst Burnout was the first one when Criterion had no fucking idea what they wanted to do with the IP. It was just aggressive racing/time trials until they realized people wanted to crash and wreak havoc, so then they made Point of Impact.

The first burnout was really weird, point of impact is when my benis got really hard, but takedown took my benis even harder, revenge made it as hard, but dominator make it harder but for thinkgen about grills and paradise made me want to die

Paradise isn't even bad. It's not 10/10 but you niggers freak out over everything. I want a new Burnout. If buying a rerelease of a game I never played with all of the content for less money than a full priced game is somehow going to get me another sequel in the least shit racing series ever I eat shit with a grin. People like you are why we can't have nice things.

Kill yourself nigger.

Those exhaust pipes are in the wrong fucking place.

What are you on about.

They should focus on making it a good game instead of ADD MOAR KARZ

It's another "go straight ahead while wacky clutter appears onscreen and every 5 seconds is a ramp" non-game.
These people fail to understand what made burnout good so well it's probably on purpose.

You're giving money to EA.
Eat a dick, piss off.

F1 2015 is free on humblebunghole
humblebundle.com/store/f1-2015

Will I be lost in understanding the plot if I haven't played F1 2014?

Nah, 2015 is a soft reboot. It was pretty much forced after they fucked up and killed off one of the cast.

spoiler that shit

Seasonal discount on those two on PSN. Cost very cheap till 12/04. Should i buy? Are they any good?

Are there WipEout mods?

user, please leave.

But WipEout is a racing game you nigger. An anti-gravity one.

user, how can you be so dumb?

So has anyone tried a DD Wheel yet? If you have how's the feel versus the g29? I'm a little annoyed at the PC2 feel with g29 and how it still clips every so often.

Attached: kys.webm (640x360, 2.07M)

That was my point. Why are you asking about mods for a console game? Very few console games get mods.
Also, I didn't mean "leave the thread because you're not talking about racing vidya" but "leave Holla Forums because you asked such a stupid question". The fact that you assumed anyone in this thread wouldn't know about Wipeout is absurd, especially since the last thread talked about it a lot and there currently is a Wipeout thread. Even if someone somehow didn't know about it before, they would have by now.

Far too late for that honestly. Should've followed up on their promise of additional Story content. And being that the past couple years' worth of DLC has consistently been about cars from the 20th century with the token razorbox, I have a feeling a lot of these additions were intended for a Vice City game set in the 80s/90s/whenever, but are so far behind schedule they'd need to remodel the lot before considering release in order to make them look good. At the same time they probably fear that they'll never see the light of day like a lot of LCS vehicles, so they're cranking them out now whilst (I sincerely hope) holding back a massive stockpile of those which we have yet to see for the series' next installment. That's something I can live with, plus it gives me more period-accurate stuff to replace the default SA vehicles with once they inevitably get ported over.

It was predicted in a Youtube video via an apparent "Easter Egg" that we wouldn't see VI until 2021. Given that it took 14 months for IV to be released after its initial trailer in March 2007 and 22 months for V to be released after its initial trailer in November 2011, even if R* surprised us with the first trailer for VI tonight, we probably wouldn't see the game until September 2020, 30 months from now.

Attached: kirby.jpg (1280x720, 145.63K)

The old PSX games can be modded like N64 games. Just look at the F-Zero X mod community fucking nigger.

How is this kiddy-diddling?

archive.fo/ZfEtK

You really are fucking stupid.

Attached: pedo.jpg (634x475, 48.49K)

you know wipeout 1 and 2097 came out on pc right?

...

it can be modded, therefore it has mods
I hope you realise how much of a spastic you are.

Well I guess that's one from Enthusia I can cross off the list. Never expected this car to ever be in a GT, and especially not so soon after making that post.
Top left in case you guys were wondering. It's unmistakeable.

Attached: gts-aprmay-update.jpg (1440x810, 23.02K)

No, user. There aren't.

you guys still ever race?

...

And then a cockblock script despawns them a few seconds after spawning.

what open source / free racing sutfs out there?

GeneRally is free like beer.

What? I've never had that happen to me. I can drive them around as much as I please.

yeah I Fucking hate it, wanted that Volvo, Hakosuka and BMW that is there

Also im suprised I enjoy it mainly the driving around and collecting wrecks but driving is fun for me since im more into aracdes.

Cheat engine has money and roll cards. but you still have to tediously spin the wheel shit.

Also performance fucking sucks on my pc. really sad about dips from 60 to 40-30 (Rx480 but bad cpu - 6300)

Really looking forward to this update. Apparently people are saying that quite a few of the other silhouettes are of Super GT cars, which is without a doubt the best GT class of racing cars on planet Earth. I've got almost 10 million credits saved up so I'm ready to go.

It's happening.

(checked)
The most autistic racing game franchise ever conceived.

Transformed was pretty great.

Probably my favorite of the cartoony kart racers. Hated the flying sections though.

I honestly didn't care too much for finding the derelicts. Sure there's the fun in recognizing the map (They cheat and stuff like one part from each car in basically the same area). And when you get to the area it turns into "Find the Jump". Honestly didn't cruise all that much, just not what I go for.

Also do you have the full cheat Engine you can upload? The one I found wants you to fucking pay for it.

Forza has some modding. This is a raw screenshot of forza on original xbox taken with a debug xbox. I've always wanted to change the sounds of cars. Unfortunately all you can really do is use custom decals, and edit things such as max rpm, hp, lower the car etc etc

Attached: iYi9G5V.png (640x480, 451.25K)

Project Cars 2 worth 24€?

cheat engine is free. its program that launches precompiled files that you then activate/change alongside running game

Attached: aa.jpg (440x527, 32.31K)

I feel like this question is asked every time it goes on sale and that the answer is always "I don't know I'm waiting to see if I should buy it on sale too.".

If you like the content that's in the base game go for it.
Just know you're an early adopter and you're gonna have to pay up the ass for a "complete" edition with all the DLC

It's just too bad Online is boring and V's single player was the most lackluster in the entire series, on a boring map. All these cars we've been getting are so nice I hope they're a prelude of what's to come in a next, hopefully better GTA. In fact all the classic versions of the vehicles make me hope we get another GTA set in a past period (and it would be glorious to spite the annoying fanboys who protest that idea cuz they can't stand anything that isn't CURRENT YEAR)

Bump. Onrush still looks like ass.

Yeah, I have a bad feeling it's going to have really bad singleplayer.
