Blood drive is a thing (not that great but it exists)
Anyways I got done playing NFS:Payback and it's Fun
They improved the physics over '15 (not hard but appreciated) and you can fine tune the cars to drive like how you like (it doesn't give descriptions far as I know so it's kinda run things to the end of the slider ans see what you like best)
Maybe it's because I could actually get my hands on Customization but over all I'm happy with it. It clearly caters to stancefags, but you can do up cars in a pretty reasonable manner.
But Vinyl editing is surprisingly limited. There's no options to copy paste vinyls (there is a duplicate function but it's only barely a stop gap, at least there's a copy to the other side function (except you have to go through it with one vinyl at a time). Also no Vinyl grouping like Forza which I sorely miss. And Midnight Club LA remains the only one to feature a negative feature for some reason.
But the biggest downfall of customization is that they have copied "The Crew" for performance modding with card system you need to grind out. There's also an RNG aspect in that the parts can have a "Perk" and if you get three of the same kind of part (and apparently double if you have all the smae parts) makes it annoying to upgrade shit. Nothing for handling and Brakes are tied to perks so you may need to give up better parts to be able to just fucking stop.
On the topic of shit stolen from "The Crew" there's stupid little challenges all over the place you can do. They unlock some customization features (thankfully for all the cars) but unless you're online and can get the lootboxes for gaining levels and doing them, there's no real point after unlocking the customization options. Also Bait crates that just start a police chase sprint.
The car selection is nice (and the abandoned cars that you need to be online for are neat too but can't get them on the pirated version), but due to never really making all that much money you'll probably stick with Derelicts since you can pick them up for free. It's what I did anyways.
Game also has some nice fan service with call backs, especially to Prostreet I got a bit hyped when Aki Kimura showed up as a boss. Not enough to be intrusive I feel.
The story is simple, but perhaps TOO simple. The Main Character does shit that doesn't make sense in the beginning, then just transitions to being bland "I'm gonna win" hero. The other people on his side are thankfully better. But they still go along with his very narrow revenge plan of getting back at Nigger Bitch.
Despite people pointing to the much more credible threat of "The house" who she works for. They more or less go "Nooo, I wanna take down Nigger bitch, I don't wanna bust up the bet rigging ring who she works for and as such would get back at her hardcore". And their plan is to win the big race she's rigged. Which involves self driving cars more or less and the things that shuts down cars from 2 Fast 2 Furious. And in the end Nigger Bitch only gets her comeuppance from her boss the Collector. There's some sequel bait, roll credits. Basically don't think about it or you'll have but in more effort the the writer.
Also despite dicksucking Prostreet, they didn't fix it's issue of being able to do whatever once you complete the story, or have a mycars mode so post game is all about grinding to make cars pretty. No one has a modded save file that works with pirated copys or a full version of the trainer would they?
