it was that way until ela and dokkebai came out who have dyed hair and compression pants on. Dokkebai part of the south korean 707th has dyed hair, pig tails, and glasses which in the in-game bio are said to be fake as well.

the look unprofessional and out of place compared to previous operators, including previous female operators. Even Valkyrie who is flexing in her render has an outfit that more or less matches her counterparts theme and doesn't have too much outward attitude like dyed hair, fake glasses or how much dokkebai fucking talks in match. What you can't see in the designs is also how woefully overwritten these two characters are. I don't feel like digging up all the examples but previous operators had short bios with some fluff like "thermite toured in iraq and then used his GI bill to go to college before joining FBI" and maybe some fluff like how it's mentioned ying disliked fuze. Ela, Vigil, and Zofia have multiple paragraph long fanfic tier bios about how they're the best operators in operator school and they had pages dedicated to them on the website at the start of their seasons.
They stand out blatantly from every other operator and dokkebai is particularly annoying because they went with the HACKUR GIRL angle so she has to have snazzy one-liners all the fucking time when the rest of the characters have very few in-game lines
