I'm now 8,000 miles away from home & this is what I miss about Holla Forums, the sharing of news/lefty news. I do wish these threads would have more discussion, though. Hopefully the longer they're around, the more discussion they'll get.
Can we get approval for one or more of these stories that are bigger, to have a thread created just for them? Someone could take initiative & just do it. The news threads are great, but could also serve as a "megathread" so to speak, so some stories aren't discussed as much. I appreciate these though, because otherwise there may be no real discussion or acknowledgement at all. So, I'd just like to see them expanded in some way as well.

I have mixed thoughts on this mental illness rule being struck down. I understand that it could lead to government overreach and be used against possible dissidents, but then again, dissidents wouldn't necessarily buy legally–i.e., they would backdoor it and avoid background checks in the first place.
Also, expecting mentally unwell people to make rational choices for their safety might be a tall order. Even mentally healthy people make safety slip-ups or just forego basic gun safety altogether.
