It really just comes down to who goes to college and who doesn't. If you go to college to be fully indoctrinated, you're more likely to be left-leaning, if you don't, you're more likely to be right-leaning. I don't think what you believe as a kid, at least around the age of the little pig in the video, have much of a bearing on what end of the political spectrum you end up on when you're pushing 30.

Happened to me, was lolbertarian for my whole life and recently became communist. I was kindof indoctrinated though as a child, but it let me know I never wanted to be a part of mainstreem/liberal politics.

In so far as they support capitalism, I guess unless you're referring to 'classical liberal' lolberts, but I don't think you can sit there with a straight face and say neolibs are truly right-wing. To me that smacks of trying to write off the left's growing demographic of undesirables as actually being part of the other side. When the right tries to do that with neetsocs, you laugh in their faces, so let's not do that.

I had pretty much the same experience, from knowing in my head that most of it was bullshit but still spewing out "theory" and contrarian bullshit to defend it, and make myself believe it to.

The educational system and media are definitely neolib indoctrination machines, I don't think anyone can dispute that, and I think even true leftists can agree that that's a problem for everyone. At this point I would prefer if they just swapped over to pushing full-on socialism so we could at least work towards building something with that, instead of churning out endless dysfunctional, broken young people that have a deep dissatisfaction with life and society, but no idea how to fit it.

Idpol is the marketplace of group memberships. They believe that market outcomes are by definition good and should not be questioned. That sounds pretty near ultra-right to me. Cultural advocacy is itself right-wing, especially when it's power-washed prosperity gospel in disguise. I don't see anything about liberals that makes them "left" in any practical, useful sense.
