This is a difficult question since the parties you mentioned are currently having internal debates about their direction.

Die Linke has a very socialist, anti-IdPol wing that's partly authoritarian arround Wagenknecht (who called for more border control and questions private property live in talk shows) and a reformist SocDem wing with a lot of IdPol arround Bartsch and Gisy. If the latter wins Die Linke might just become another Green Party with a red flag and become irrelevant. Wagenknecht however is wildly popular and if she's able to make the party a leftist populist movement they might get the AfD into serious trouble.

AfD has the more classical conservativ-liberal wing arround Petry and Meuthen who openly called out Höcke who is full on radical right and might even be a fascist who hides his powerlevel. If that tendency triumphs, I don't see the AfD winning. Germans won't elect proto-fascists. As a mild conservative alternative that leans towards Russia instead of being a bootlicker of the US the AfD will have good chances to become really big.

As far as I know the reasoning for expanding the Euro project beyond the "core" (France, Germany, Benelux) was politically motivated rather than to keep the currency weak. I can't claim to be an expert, but I believe that according to theories of currency the enlarged Eurozone never was on a strong foothold.
