Even Metropolis zone risks destruction. Wanting to save her uncle Omlette challenges Sonic to a boss battle. If Sonic wins he can use the seven chaos emeralds to stop the void. If Omlette wins she'll try to use the emeralds herself.

Omlette's mechanical limits is no match for Sonic. Omlette has a buttersweet farewell with her uncle saying that she was the last Chaos Spirit all along. And that she was thankful for having a good time with Uncle Ivo. But now she has to transend her mechanical body into spirit form to help Super Sonic save Uncle Ivo, "and the rest of the world I guess".
