I think, FM3 is the best of the bunch, omae. But I hate the protagonist there. Ryogo (MC's sidekick) should have been the MC and he should've fucked MC's sister in front of him. That fucking retard. The game uses a software renderer(so no hardware acceleration) to simulate the look of a Saturn game. As a result the game will run on any PC that can run Windows 2000. I shit you the fuck not.

Been playing this game since 2013 when it left invite only beta and only recently has this been an issue, even when reddit was around they were more courteous than these shitters

Is that game any fun?

Yes and no. The game rewards skill. an example is my space use deck. I've only got the kampfer for hit and run tactics involving using it's speed to get in close to heavy hitters and unloading at point blank with MS sized buck shot. My other suits are low cost suits that while weak can still take down stronger enemies provided I flank and attack the enemy mobile suit's back where it's armor is weakest.

Unless you're skilled you're most likely to end up getting frustrated and quitting because other people have stronger suits or you're going into it thinking your a special snowflake when even though the game has changed over the years at it's core you're going to end up in a world of pain if you try to charge the enemy lines as it just ends up with you being hosed down with gunfire.

The game itself is JP only and you need a VPN to play, I use mudfish, a service that is "pay per bandwidth used" instead of a monthly sub and typically 3 USD is all I need to get by since mudfish by default only runs for a given program instead of a full VPN (It can be configured to run as a full VPN however and there are free nodes, MSGO just uses premium ones).

I do miss however when it was just a OYW grunt slugfest with the ace pilots being these CPU controlled units the commanders usually assigned to hold points or to push. They were tough due to the high health and high damage weapons, but their AI is simple and ones left to assault the enemy unaccompanied typically became nothing really more than point pinatas. The game is it is right now is alright, the ranking system is shit as it's based not on your performance, but on whether your team wins or loses the match. Your performance means nothing except how many points you gain or lose (higher score with a loss means you lose less). Stagger mechanic is nice as in the past feddies had MS that could roll through groups easily because of high stability. Now concentrated gunfire can stagger suits, of which there are 3. First stage is as you are when you are not beign shot at, as you get shot the meter drains, breaking to the second stage. In second stage you lose a bit of boost meter and recoil from the focus fire. Breaking into the third stage depends on your position, if you're flying through the air you're going to be knocked out of the sky and pretty much dead meat, if you're on the ground you'll be forced to a knee and again focused down. Melee is nice, No I frames means you can't charge in with a melee for an easy kill, using a charging melee actually makes you easier to stagger so a good thing to do is to focus fire on a unit trying to come at you with melee as when they try to close the gap or hit you with their attack it typically results in them failing.

As for "is it fun" again depends, I've sunk years into this, while there's a cash shop you're not going to find anything you can outright buy and use indefintely in there. At best you'll get a handful of rental suits that last 20 matches before they're out of charge (That yellow bar you see under my suits in the first pic). Charge is refilled through the ingame poitns and are super easy to come by so it's not an issue. Pretty much everything in this game has to be earned, even the DX gasha, which is the cash shop gasha isn't a guaranteed free suit. It's a "pay to try to win" kind of deal and even then you can easily get DX tickets through challenges, events, and the daily play bonus ticket trade in. I think the only money I've ever spent was on hangar space because I collect suits instead of just keeping around the latest and greatest. but even then that was like 15 bucks for 20 hangar slots and even now I've got too many slots through all the in game rewards thrown at me over the years (115/136 currently), some I've never touched, others like my Dom I've used till their proficiency level was maxed out and all that level does is give you access to 3 extra paint jobs and some bonuses like extra GP and a 1% increase to success chance when upgrading a suit's stats.

If you really wanted to play use WTFast which has a 30 day free trial last I checked. Again though for long term I'd dump the minimum 3 USD into a mudfish account and play as it feels worth it more and WTFast hides it's unsub button

Nope it's UC only and thank god 00 was trash anyways. Each suit has a set of weapons to use however you can only use 3 at a given time. The weapons can also be broken into types such as M, H, and F.

M type weapons have more ammo but a trade off in damage.

H is high precision. and finally F is the high damage type which suffers from a low ammo pool and weapon capacity before having to reload.

Even the first sin is in question on the point of not being emulated, since the Titans happily gassed colonies and attempted to colony drop the shit out of Granada. They just did these separately, since the latter case used an already abandoned Side 4 colony.

One could note that the expedience of the colony gassings- theoretically unnecessary if they could dedicate enough freight to forcibly evacuating them instead, as the garrisons might've swiftly surrendered outright after a nominal 'battle' in the face of the sheer force concentration at the time of the Three-Second Warning- was immoral or unnecessary, but in doing so, would both have to tangle with the fact that they may have been ultimately necessary to get as far as they did rather than getting tangled up earlier on and seeing less transient success let alone having a chance of winning as per the original OYW, and note that the Federation took ten times more immoral expediencies as the universe expanded, under substantially less stress, with substantially less necessity, substantially less of a genuine ideological and idealistic mission, and substantially less effectiveness to these expediencies except where it can eventually shoot the latest unideally minded Federation official/paramilitary hijacker (which is perhaps 90% of them) in the foot for the goody two shoe protagonists to take advantage of later, while Zeonic expediencies & gambits in the OYW & elsewhere generally tend to work out pretty well except where protagonist plot armor and maintaining the believability of the Zeon-losing timeline demands. IIRC Garma's campaign in Menace of Axis is basically him and Dozle trying win over the people of earth and space while dealing with the ESF military and Char's Zeon. Notably one of the few Zeon campaigns which never give you the option for terror attacks or WMD's. He also outright states the fucked up situation that is the OYW is mostly his families fault.

Degwin is there, too. And although you can't do anything extraordinarily unethical (mostly because it's a scenario with no notable timeline-based events, just the base gameplay & Law-Chaos meter changes) it does give you the option of building the Big Zam Zabi Family Custom. En masse, potentially.

Tem Ray has access to that machine as well. Tem's story is weird.

To be fair the Big Zam doesn't really qualify as a WMD, it can tear through fleets but it doesn't have anything that's just for killing a shitload of innocent people in a short amount of time. It's also only really good for defending areas from said fleets anyway.

That's because Tem gets absolutely everything, and in addition to being one of the low-effort campaigns, his is just for fun.

It's REALLY good at that, though. Line attacks and way too many particle beams.

The I-field also helps when dealing with most late game fodder and ships as well as making Big Zams immune to your other Big Zam's line attacks.

Heat knife is basically just the concept of the heathawk in knife form. and as we've seen through the various OYW games, ovas, and whatnot the heathawk was far from the only melee weapon utilized by MS zeon had that channeled thermal energy over the blade to increase it's armor piercing capabilities.

Or how does a heat hawk manage to melt through Luna Titanium (which is what the Gundam was made of) even though it's been stated before that the only places during the OYW that could actually melt Luna Titanium and thus weld it were specialized facilities like White Base, Jaburo, Luna II, and other facilities? And how come can a heat hawk manage to heat up to these extreme temperatures without melting itself or becoming too brittle?

I still get confused by how the original series had the gouf sword be a beam saber, later works have it a heat sword, and the merchandise constantly shifts between the two. Though I shouldn't be too concerned about this sort of thing.

I can see it being an error, but they stuck with it. The merchandise for the Gouf still shows the beam being removed to fit on the shield like when it first draws it. The same sources that name it a heat blade also show it not possibly being a heat blade. The Custom's has the other problem, it's clearly shown to be a solid material, but then it never heats up. I guess these sorts of things happen with a franchise like this.

It had no budget. That's the basics of it, a lot of people don't even know that it got cut short too. The new animation they add at times in the movie versions looks a lot better.

It was the popularity of gunpla that ended up saving the series from being buried in some Sunrise vault to never see the light of day.
