I think the core of the game is still good, but it has so much cancer around it that I wouldn!t recommend it now. I mean more than half of all the missions, characters, weapons and perks are locked behind dlcs and of course you need the ULTIMATE JEW EDITION for that and for 40 bucks I don't think that it's worth it. Maybe if it's on sale and maybe if you have people to play with.

Did you ever try playing the Sting? It's got a 60s vibe and the main point of the game is planning and executing heists, but you only control the characters in the planning phase, so if you fuck up you can't fix your mistake.

The game, outside the heists, takes place in an open world city you can explore to recruit other people to aid you in your robberies, and they all have different skills that level up with use. It's a pretty fun game, though rather old and clunky. Still, I don't think I've seen anything quite like it anywhere else.

Believe it or not, but Kane and Lynch 2 had one of the coolest fucking multiplayer modes with Cops and Robbers.

That game mode I wish got adapted in another game. Even fuckin Payday probably could have done it if they weren't so assed. I would like a more legit heist game that isn't as arcadey as Payday is. Something where you plan the heist carefully and once the vault blows, you're hauling ass to the van. Where suppressive fire and taking cover actually matters.

It's honestly just a reskin of PD2, except the levels are more like what you'd find in a metal of honor game a decade ago. Customization seems even more limited than in PD2, and also you cant turn off DOF which makes the game pretty much unplayable.

I think It's pretty much alright, coming from someone who's wasted too many hours on Payday, I'd say it's pretty much Payday, but with more polish to it, better graphics, better gameplay choices, etc. I'm gonna say it's solid but not worth the price they want you to pay for it.
