The instant it was delayed I heard people here saying it was because of Denuvo, and I just believed them, because why wouldn't it be? I also heard people complaining about it again, and I responded with this same observation that we all knew the whole time, on the day the game was released.

Sonic 3 & Knuckles has a much better story that communicates itself very effectively with no dialogue. But I guess Taxman is too busy being autistic over physics and gameplay to get autistic about how to communicate a story through mime.

Puppeting sprites around with no dialog should in theory be easy as fuck
Hell, you don't even need any extra character poses or scenarios to greatly improve what's there, it just takes a few extra minutes of attention to direction
Like, with just a couple extra seconds of pauses before or during animations in the green hill ending cutscene could have made it much, much more clear that the heavies weren't complying with eggman

You know, I'd be okay with the random bullshit glitches here and there, but there seem to be a LOT of them all around. For the most part, they seem pretty tame and mostly aesthetic, but I've seen a couple fatal glitches around. I've run into a few, one in Metallic Madness involving Tails being a different size than Sonic if he despawns after you do something to change size; cute, but not a game-breaking glitch.

Then again, the original series was the exact same way, since the whole original series was spaghetti-coded to hell and back; most of those glitches weren't fucking fatal like I've seen out of Mania, though.

That's not at all what I was implying. I was trying to say that I can forgive the fact that the one area that Mania isn't as good as the old games is story. Their gameplay-focused autism allowed them to not only recreate but improve on the old formula. I wouldn't want to trade any of that gameplay-autism for story-autism.

I 100%ed the game without running into any significant glitches. I don't mind glitches that I have to go out of my way to find, but don't effect normal gameplay, which is basically what most of this game's glitches boil down to. And same with the glitches in Sonic Adventure 1 and 2.
